The green bar that shows up when gathering
 

I have a question about that little green bar that goes up and down when gathering stuff. The FAQ in the game says you can click on it when it hits the yellow bar to get the stuff faster, but I've spent the past couple of weeks clicking on that thing and nothing has ever happened! :( Am I supposed to click on the thing I'm harvesting from, or the bar, or what?

Sorry if this is a stupid question. :o

You know, I usually click the object I'm farming and that works...but it's really hard to get. I think I end up getting it one in fifty tries.

I remember when I got that 'clam meat quest' and was harvesting clams and starfishes for the first time in the game. No need to say, I noticed the bar with a suspicious looking line in it. Well I thought I better click again if the bar reaches that line. I tried so and it didn't work. By that time my character already harvested the thing. I thought: "Must be a bug or not implented or whatever"

So yeah, after a long while I ask my friend about it and he says you need to click. Well now I'm clicking on every damn copper ore, but it just won't work. Well, I just want it to succeed once just to see for myself.

It does work. Gotta get it at the right time. It's like that game where the light goes round and round and you have to stop the light at the spot you're at.

I found a trick about that yellow line on the green bar.

The tip of your cursor must be right in the middle of your little yellow line.

And you must click at the right time (when the green bar reaches the yellow line.)

I got into a mining craze coz i need it for decomposition and stone material... and after about 100 ore practice, I how finish mining quicker about once every 2-3 ores... (i found that if the line is too close to the edge it's harder to get it right)

It does work, u've just gotta place your cursor carefully on the yellow line and click at the right time.

I get it 2/3 times while picking herbs and cutting trees, but always miss on others :/

I get it almost every time in Gold hill. Saved me a couple of times too. As with every life lesson, Practice Makes Perfect. ;)

You need to click on the line? My God, I always click on the mushroom/ore/whatever. Gonna try it right away.

You have to develop a timing.
The lag in the game really gets in the way of opening chest boxes just need to practice in the mines for a while to get it.

Lag? I don't have any lag. I live in Europe.

Well it's weird, but I know HOW to get huge lags. Then it doesn't lag the game itself, but rather the interface (party chat, selling stuff etc). So fighting monsters, skills and that kind of important stuff doesn't lag. Well I found the cause of the lag. If I've the Kingdom Quest window open for too long, the amount of lag will increase. Relogging solves the problem.

lmao, me too, well probably more than 8 actually. Not lately, though, but I practiced my timing on that specifically for the closed beta treasure chest events. People always complained about not getting anything, but I cleaned up in those things a number times. I got like 6 or 7 boxes in one event and like 3 pets and tons of lucky/blessed stones and copper/silver lumps, made a fortune.

I kinda miss those events, but I'm glad they're gone since they seriously disrupted the game economy.

I've been pressing spacebar everytime the line touches yellow... >.< Damn it.

Ok well i thought it say press the bar, i always press the yellow line and it works a lot of the time.
Im just wondering if itl work ifou click anywhere or just the line.

I hate that god damn gathering line. I really do. I blame it for my emotional trauma.

No matter how I try, it never seems to make sense to me. I try to time a single click perfectly when it passes over the line... nope. I try spam clicking when it comes near the line.. nope. I go on trying like this, frantically attempting to make some sense of this annoying system, and just when I'm about to give up, I randomly get it right and I see the line flash with a successful click. Damn it.

LOOOOOOOOL. The thing's patience, my dear. I don't really bother with it. Just let my char mining/farming and i'll wait patiently. ;D Unless some mob is atacking me.

o_o it's quite simple really, i do it most of the time around 75%?
usually if i get bored mining i started to not press it

after u hit it the yellow bar glows abit n ur bar dissappear
and....
u might end up not getting anything it happens to me -_-

i believe spam click wouldnt work.. coz i've tried it too and never got it once...

you've gotta place the tip of your cursor precisely right on the yellow line... and click when the green bar goes to the line

i believe the hardest part is putting ur cursor on the line correctly, the timing part is actually quite straight forward...

yup spamming doesnt works
i dont know about when the bar going backwards though
never clicked it when it's going backwards

Yeah, I know I've been able to get it to work both ways. I think it's just that you have to hit it at such a precise moment that any tiny millisecond of lag can throw it off.

yeah well if it went back and forth twice.. i wont even bother with the 3rd one hahaha coz is about to finish mining anwyay

if u missed twice, dont bother pressing, it's ending xD
