Skill empower points

Are we supposed to get one of these every level? I'm level 19 now and so far I have only had 7 points. Ok I guess this is a bug but can someone confirm that we're actually supposed to get 1 point per level? I already reported this bug but because no one answers you in the official forums .... I don't get any answer.

It sucks missing like 12 points because my skill cooldowns are starting to annoy me.

Edit: Hold on.. I'm a bit confused. Skill empower points =/= skill points for learning skills, right? o.o At first I thought it was the same thing but a while ago I figured it was different because when I learnt my skills, my skill empower points did not change, or I was able to learn skills with 0 empower points... The ones for learning skills is skill experience, right?

You are right about it being a bug. I saw that somewhere on the officials.

I can't confirm that we are supposed to get 1 point per lvl tho. x.x

Well, when i did something with my alchemy. Learnt stone production and the three tier one basic production skills. I lost two points =\

rokaraged 07-01-2007 06:21 AM

Thank god i i learned my production skills right after i spent all my points....

Not sure but from what i've heard its been set to you earn skill points every other level.

Blaaaaaaaah 07-01-2007 06:24 AM

Oh.. the thing is, I think I've got like one every level on my archer, but my mage has only been getting one or two every now and then. D: Really weird.

When you learn a new skill you lose a skill point <.< When you empower a skill you lose a point too <.<

When you learn a new production skill you lose a point, but you don't lose point learning recipe <.<

You should pay more attention when leveling up, you DO get 1 point every level, just you learn it before you know it.

If you don't believe me, just add everything: from the learned skills, empowered skills, main production skills and your remaining points. It will be exactly your level

Thanks for clearing that up thailehuy.

Really? Because I think I counted that once.. and I actually ended up getting more skill points then I have supposed to if that was what happened. I'll check in a moment.

But I'm positive that when I level up at certain levels, my skill points didn't increase and stayed at 0 (and I did not learn any skill between the time I levelled and checking it because I checked it straight away).

I've also been paying attention to this on my cleric, and I've been getting a skill point every level, but when I learn a skill, my skill points didn't go down. It didn't go down either I learnt the scroll production skill. I'll calculate my cleric's skill later as well to check.

thailehuy 07-02-2007 11:14 AM

Told ya that when you learn the production recipe (lix xir elrue speed scroll aim scroll ....) you won't lose skill points.

You lose skill points for everything else.

Currently on my lvl 20 cleric I have 8 remaining points, I learned pot & scroll production (-2), mace mastery lvl 2 (-2) hammer mastery lvl 1 (-1) bash lvl 1 (-1) heal lvl 3 (-3) party buff lvl 1 (-1) invincible lvl 1 (-1) and I empowered 1 into heal (-1)

add them all up, it's 20, exactly my lvl

Blaaaaaaaah 07-02-2007 11:59 AM

Yeah, I meant the scroll production skill you're talking about, not the recipe.

rokaraged 07-02-2007 12:49 PM

That makes a lot of sense now, thanks.

ok...i was sure i read in the bright kindom wiki that you start getting them at lvl 7, and 1 point every 2 lvls...and ive noticed i do get them every 2 lvls.

now lvl 34 rights, so

lvl 7 =1
9,11,13,15,17,19,21,23,25,27,29,31,33 soooooo....14 total.

ok new line!

so i only empowered 1 of my skills, slice n dice =]

+5 empower points to DMG
+5 empower points to SP reduce
+4 empower points to Cooldown. and i bought all the skill scrolls at lvl 1 =] casue on Nameless i started with loads of silvers so i could aford it. so um thats like me being in about -25ish skill empowers...which doesnt make sense...ya =] good nites.

thailehuy 07-03-2007 07:32 AM

I'm sure learning the heal skills at lvl 3 will cost you some skill point, and getting first skill point at lvl 7 is plainly wrong

sparky 07-04-2007 03:56 PM

we...dont lose any points for getting skills or upgrading them to a better tier...

i always thought it was normal to not get skill empowerment points (do not confuse with skill points) because your just empowering your skills, not getting points for them. Of course gettign a chance to empower your skills every lvl would be nice but...not sure if that would be great ;o

At lvl 20, i had the same amount skill points as i did before i finished my quest ( i only had only skill but after i failed the quest, i bought all available fighter skills and still had the exact same amount of SEP -Skill Empowerment Points- as i did.)

What i do remember was spending all my SEP points at lvl 37 when i only had 15.

Yeah I had always thought they were two different things. Apparently the game calls it "skill experience", so they probably are two different things. But then again, if they are different, where do we get to see how much "skill experience" we have?

I have a feeling it's kinda bugged anyway, so I guess we'll see what we're really supposed to get in the next CB (they better have fixed that D:).
