Just got to level 17, my current build is 2:1 END:STR, but I plan on adding some SPR later on for crit. Probably gonna go with HK as my final class, and use hammers once I reach HC. I'm planning to max out Bash's Power and Heal and Protect -Sp Consumption. I have no idea what i'm gonna do to the other skills, I might end up just saving SP for later on, but... I don't know. Take a look at my stats and tell me what I should change, and what I should keep doing; I mainly want to solo.

I wouldn't empower Protect...
There's a lot more skills you could put points in further on, buffs are not really worth it. Otherwise, there rest are not too bad. |
Thanks :)
But do you think I'm starting to look more like a solo or party cleric? I'm still not sure. |
Hmm it's a bit of both with the STR/END build.. Generally you don't need STR if you're a party cleric, and maybe more STR if you're a solo cleric...
|
I'm at L94, and plan on going HK. Your build is OK for now, but as you get farther along, I would switch to str and spr, and just get the end from your gears. At some point - check guides or the wiki - end from your build only gets 0.5 block while end from your gears get the full point. Also, the spr helps with magic defense, which becomes much more important at higher levels, especially if you like PvP. Mages become ungodly powerful later in the game, imo overpowered compared to the other classes.
|
What level exactly do you think I should switch to SPR? And should I stick with 2:1 except STR:SPR? And also how do I find gear with END?
|
I think ultimately, END in free stat "caps" at 50 (block rate is reduced after that) and SPR "caps" at 25 (crit rate is reduced after that)..
So 75 points in those, anda the rest in STR... how you want spread those points in the mean time is up to you, it's not too significant.. You usually buy END gear from other people's vends, unless you're really lucky to pick one up yourself.. A little handy tip to know if a gear has good END on it, is that all normal green named gear, the stats will not exceed half its level. For example, you find a lvl 20 green top, the max END (or any other stats) it could have is 10. For a lvl 30 gear, the max END it could have is 15. Hope that makes sense to you.. |

=D YAY You're welcome!
|
my cleric on bijou have 50 end and i got plan to go full end but i think also i think just to add some STR since i solo ALOT :P
|
*UPDATE* My Cleric is now a High Cleric, and about 90% EXP to level 21. I have taken the community's advice and put some free stats in SPR, stopped empowering buffs, and I know when to cap each stat. I haven't bothered to find END gear yet, but I don't have alot of money anyway, I just got all the level 20 gear from the blacksmith. I also refined my hammer and shield until they glowed :3 So, tell me if i've improved, and what I still have to improve (look at the first post for comparison) Thanks. http://img143.imageshack.us/img143/4835/fiesta20.png |
nice you are making a name of you :P
|
Lol, thank you :)
|
when you reach higher lvl you MOST have patient. Believe me
|
Thanks, i'll keep that in mind ;)
|
Looking good! Yeah END gear can come later, you'll level out of your gears pretty quickly at lower levels.
Do you party much? I think all you need to do now is learn to heal the party (does take time and experience), and you'll be a great cleric in no time~ |
and when you are in a party you don't att you just heal
|
Thanks guys!!
And yes, when i'm in a party I try to stay back and just heal. Like yesterday I went through the Tower of Iyzel and a tried to keep just enough distance to heal, but not be chased by enemies. Well, at the beginning of the tower I fought the Imps, but I can handle them no problem. 1 Bash and a couple normal hits and they're dead. Then by the time I get to the Skeleton Archers I can't fight anymore. But, just one question, how would healing the party take time and experience? Is there a technique to it or something? Thanks for the advice people =) |
don't wait to heal if some one lose life not much heal them that is what i do and i never gets complain when i do that :D
|
You seems to be learning fast, so I don't think it'll take much time for you at all LOL
When I was a cleric, I had trouble controlling who to heal first when everyone's taking dmg at the same time.. but the thing about staying back and keeping distance but healing at the same time.. that's preciously what most other bad clerics CANT do.. =D |
but if you heal to close to the combat you can get aggro from mob and that is annoying

Wow, that's a great tip! I'll try to remember to keep an eye on my party member's health so if it is going down really fast I can pull the mob away so they can recover like you said. Thanks!
|
so now you got tips from some cleric on good luck on your adventure

(If you ever had to tank KQ boss, healing yourself, whether you need the heal or not, can keep aggro so well you'll surprise your KQ mates xD) but that may depend on your playing style.. Some clerics -eye Helion- does better dmg, and can draw aggro quicker and better than others.. I guess that's where the experience comes into play~ |
Ok, thanks guys. With all that advice I think I should be fine :P

My tip was for more of a duo situation, sometimes trio, with a mage. For example, I was with 2 mages doing the Caiman Giant, a boss in Swamp of Dawn. The mages were L98 and L91. I would attack first, then they would join in. As long as neither would have crit hits, I would keep agro. If the 98 drew agro, my heal went to him and we would still finish him off pretty quickly. If the 91 mage drew agro, it was 50/50 if he would be 1 hit and eat dirt. In that situation, me being a clank made more sense and resulted in faster kills with the mages free to bomb away without much worry. And yes, experience is a key factor in playing your part. I was happy to see that they nerfed the exp rewards in CC. I think way too many players leveled without really learning how to play the character that they had chosen, and it is showing up now in the upper levels of the game. |
Ah, I see. That's a good idea. I doubt i'll get to level 9x anytime soon though :P
