New Content!!!
Last night's patch added more quests for L93 and up, plus they changed the interfaces to make the game more user friendly for noobs. The maps and mob placements changed around Roumen and Sand Hill, and some gates were moved also. The way the gates look changed to something resembling a black hole. Overall, I'm pretty happy so far with what I've seen out of this update.
|
The first thing they gotta do is auto block all the spammers if they wanna make it newbie friendly xD
Black hole? so one of those 1 way gates? Sounds good though I might log in and check it out ^^ |
I DO NOT like the new gates D:
|
Ohhhhh Like the one you see at the end of the tower?!
|
Kinda. cept stupider looking DX
|
I like the look, kind of like a green swirling storm cloud. Some of the other things they did are pretty helpful. After you accept a quest, when you open a map of an area, say Sand Hill, the map will show you where to find the mobs needed for the quest, i.e. if quest 3 on your list needs King Crab, then a number 3 will appear on the map to show you where to hunt. Also, when you put your arrow on a random mob, a side text will pop out saying which quests the mob will work for. And yes, it's not just for the low level mobs - it also worked for me in Swamp of Dawn.
|
Ohhh the stuff about the quest is awesome!!

What annoys me the most is the town portals D: They are big and annoying. -.- I'm going to miss the old gates.
But yes, the quest help is useful, if not kinda overdone (noobs will just get stupider) and the new windows I suppose I can get used to... tho I dunno the use of making them blue... |
With the new windows, they are supposed to release instructions soon to allow you to change them to whatever color you like best. Personally, I like the blue - it pops out better than the old colors, and since so many things have a red tint, it is a nice change of pace.

LOL - looks like Fiesta is taking pages out of the World of Warcraft book! I've started WoW for a variety of reasons (still play Fiesta once in a while but..) I find some stuff in WoW that I wish worked like they do in Fiesta (no gates in WoW for example). I'm glad Outspark is trying to improve the game, at least some of the money I dumped into them is being used wisely! |
I suppose I'll have to get used to it.
|
were the old windwos transparent?!
coz i find the blues kinda annoying too.. I cant see things underneath.. which means if anyone stood next to me asking for a buff while I make potions i wont see them under all my windows.. oh well too bad for them i guess haha |
exactly.... I want them transparent again, they're too distracting now.
|
But not being able to see the 'buff plz' is a good thing no?
Makes me want to download Fiesta again to see the new changes... or someone can post a screenshot. =P |
New window and gate

Ohhh... the NPC look sickly but the quest thingy seems helpful. Noob friendly I suppose.
But the windows... they couldn't keep the black? Why the swirly blue... D: |

maybe someone had a bit of fun with photoshop with the swirly blue xD if they let me choose my own colour (purple!) and transparency that'll be great... |
More like they looked at a glitched map and thought "that looks good enough"... :d *puts it in as a skin*
|
HAHAHA yes that does sound more like Outspark style~
And mud's been dropping a lot more too~ dont think that's this patch's new content, but I'm loving it~ EDIT: i think i jinxed myself.. |
They had better let us choose the Transparency for the new windows, I gotta say that's whats driving me nutz the most.
I think the new maps are just cluttered. We could always figure it out for ourselves, and it made us smarter in the game. Now the noobs are going to have everything told to them DX |
Lol @ Hessah
Wait until they implement the auto-route then. Cruise control (and more deaths while they make you run through aggro mobs). |

Ok, I admit it, the new map thingy is useful. Didn't have to search ancient elven woods for clover trumpies. It told me XD Got those quests done that much faster....
But I still don't like the gates!!!! (is stubborn XD) |
I just realise that in the quest window, there's a "Location" button where it tells you where your NPC is!!
