6 year old Piano Prodigy

Gasp. You mean with top-notch training someone young can excel? I'd never imagine.

Meh. Let's hear her play Tipitina or go head to head against Dr. John and then we'll talk about a prodigy, LOL.

Jikanu 05-09-2010 05:12 AM

Meh. Playing scales at 2 is pretty fucking awesome. That was before the top-notch training. Besides, not every parade needs to be shitted on.

Furthermore, gasp. Her parents nurtured her talent because it was obvious that there was something there. How dare they.

LMAOOOOOOOOOO

But it's not like top notch training can do that to any 6yo, or any musically talented 6yo. I mean... she composed stuff at that age already. You can't say that's pretty normal, right? Surely she's not the only one in the world but still... and man. I don't even know if her hands were even big enough to reach an octave back then.

Hessah 05-10-2010 11:24 PM

I can't even play the scale at 12 let alone 2 LOLOL

Though I don't like how they try to call her the "next mozart"..

Mozart did start off as a Prodigy, but that doesn't mean all Prodigy are the new Mozart..

Jikanu 05-10-2010 11:27 PM

i think they said that because she's not just skillfully talented, but she's composing shit as well.

LOL when I clicked I expected to see a little asian boy playing it.

-pokels- o.o looks like fun, but she doesn't talk like most 6 year olds I see. More like the kind that are s'posed to grow up a bit faster than they should.

Jikanu 05-11-2010 01:11 AM

Er... she's supposed to grow up faster than she's supposed to?

*Paradox*

*Paradox*

he's saying she's being forced to grow up too fast

Jikanu 05-11-2010 01:38 AM

I know, just pointing out logical error in sentence structure and word choice.

Hazu 05-11-2010 02:05 AM

x-x Why have I been hearding paradox alot lately.. what's that off of... blah Oh I think it's in a book I'm reading.

T^T and that stuff is just mean... they shoudl be allowed to be children

Jikanu 05-11-2010 04:16 AM

Really, it's rather lame to judge. You have no idea what their home life is like. All that was really revealed in that video was that she takes piano lessons on a frequent basis and does some performances. That's actually pretty normal in middle class to upper middle class homes, so it's really no big deal.

While it's easy to get carried away in the assumption that she's forced into it, remember that when you assume you make an ass out of you and yourself.

Hessah 05-11-2010 04:39 AM

I dont think she was "forced" to grow up..

they're trying to nurture her talent, by giving her exposure (performance) and special classes (so they don't get bored).. and in turn the exposure has probably made talk older than her age...

but they're not forcing it onto her, her mum did say she wants her to be a happy child (or something to that effect) so I think they've got the right idea..

Ralath 05-11-2010 04:42 AM

Plus, if she is naturally as smart as they say she is, it's pretty normal for smart people to be older (mentally anyway) than they are in terms of years.
