hello (and help?)

Hello all! :)

I am new to this forum and I guess I'm even newer to Fiesta since I didn't register in time for CBT so they won't let me in yet :(. Maybe I will be allowed in for open test .

Anyway, here's my help part:

I have read some on the Fiesta website and understand I will have to choose a World and a Character.

Any advise on either or both of these options?

Rightclaw 06-30-2007 09:19 PM

Yo.

There's only 1 world at the moment. As for your character, there's Mage, Cleric, Archer, Fighter. Just choose which one you like the best. ;)

Lady-Loki 06-30-2007 09:35 PM

Thanks! I didn't realize there was currently only one world to choose - that helps for now (might not be the same case when they actually let me in). :)

As for the four characters, I read the specifics of each and I'm not sure I want to be an elf type character (not so sure about those ears) but I was hoping to elicit some chatter from those already in game play about what character they chose and how they feel about that choice. Maybe even some opinion about what they recommend for others. Thanks again!

Anybody else??

I liked my Mage the best. Big damage = happy Rightclaw. They have sucky health tho. I also made a Cleric which was pretty good. They aren't like Clerics in most games. Clerics here can heal themselves while tanking and still do good damage.

Hoped that helped any.

Mage=
+Damage
-Long cool down on spells
-Bad defense and low hp.

So far I've only tried archer and mages.

My first character was an archer. The best thing about (female) archers are that I think they look the best in game xD AND they have cool look bows when they're upgraded (have a look at other threads in the guides for pics of them). Bad thing is, they suck at doing damages and they don't survive very well. I had a lot of trouble trying to survive on my archer, and I always seem to die. I guess it takes more effort to raise this class than other classes. Not really recommended as a first character if you're new to mmorpg type of games, I guess. It should be better if you raise it as a second character or something so you know what's going on and stuff like that. If you stuff up your archer, it's kind of hard to keep raising it Dx For me anyway..

Mages are mad. They look ok, although the staves don't look as fancy as bows. Damage is wonderful though. Although we suck at tanking just like archers, at least we do more damage! Sometimes, with a certain combo, I can kill monsters in a range before they even get to me. It's great like that. You kill fast, and earn exp fast. Only problem is you will have to buy lots of pots to keep your HP and SP up. Cool downs can be a problem, but those can be overcome by skill empower points which decreases cool downs. I find that SP consumption is really annoying too, but if you can afford the stones to heal your SP, then there shouldn't be a problem.

So atm, mages > archer in my opinion.

Haven't tried fighters and clerics but I think they're really good. Everyone says "CLERICS PWN" cos they can heal themselves. Fighters seem to be able to fight higher level mobs compared to mages/archers, I think. They also look cool when they rush up to the front to tank all the mobs in kingdom quests xDDD

Oh yeah and hi! Welcome xD

Hai. Welcome.

I suggest you create a cleric or fighter first!

Don't go for archer cause they are very difficult to lvl up i always saw many archers in the game but i think im the only one who reach lvl 41 in CB1! Maybe it's really hard for them to grind!

Well grinding it's not that difficult to me! But for a new player i think you'll have a difficult time Grinding!

Hey welcome! :>

Archer:
I don't like the fact that archers can't dodge much and yet don't kill monsters before they reach you. Skills have a pretty long casting delay as well, so can't spam them like crazy.

Mage:
Fun because of the big number damage. But I don't like the skill delay as well. The higher magics takes eternity to recharge although you can lvl up your skill by putting them on reduce cast delay.

Fighter:
I never liked fighter/warrior classes but they are easy to play (especially if you have a cleric following you). Cleric heal your hp or fortify u, and you spam skills = win win situation. XD

Cleric:
My favourite because cleric's able to fight and support. Can switch roles anytime you like. Bad point is... its pretty boring to kill monsters, limited attack skills compared to the other classes.

In the end i guess it depends on your style of play. I tried all classes in CB1 and decided on cleric. :3

Cleric FTW...followed of course by Fighters and Mages :D...but Clerics start out killing semi compared to the latter two classes so if you arent the patient type its not for you.

Please read the date of the last post. The greeting has been long outdated, if you had any contructive comments then it would've been fine. Otherwise all you are doing is increasing your post count.

On Topic: Lady-Loki hasn't visited the forums since making this thread some 19 days ago o_O
Anyway if you do comeback I suggest you be a Cleric, seeing that they are the best balanced class.

Sheapy 07-19-2007 01:12 PM

ChinhChinh, I was just about to post exactly what you said (except the Cleric Part). Easiest class to get the hang of Fiesta is probably Fighter. They're pretty easy to use in the low levels, but it gets harder (you should have more xp in classes then) since you have to spam tanking skills and make sure that you aren't anywhere near death

Daghian 07-19-2007 05:22 PM

I suggest being an archer cause not many people like em and are always putting them down. People will respect you for having a difficult class. Every game I play I start out on the hardest class(by accident :P) but the best part is, I dont know another way, I don't know how much easier it is for a Mage, or a Fighter. Cause I dont make one :D and that(along with my love for them), is why I make an Archer :D

rokaraged 07-19-2007 09:00 PM

Battle clerics pretty much owned everything in cb1 but that MIGHT change...

Fighters are very viable

Mages suffered HORRIBLY because of long@$$ cooldowns

Archers didn't have it too well either, but some players have shown the great potential of this class.

Just pick a class that suits you, not whether one is better or not. u'll have more fun.

Yea! Archers are the hardest! and so many archers in the game but i think only two got to lvl 40+! Me(lvl41) and Angel(lvl40) i think from Tachoink! I dunno if theres any lvl 40 archers there! lol

To download the game and play??? At least that is what I am assuming you mean. You need to go to outspark.com and set up an account, then you can download the game and play. If you have any other questions, you can pm me, or post them in the forums.

Yes. Please make a new thread in Question and Inquiries if you wish, GabriellaMontez, but you should not be necro-posting (bringing up an old thread!).

I will have to lock this thread.
