Titles?
 

I've been attempting to grab the silent title for some time now, but have had no luck. For those who don't know, apparently silent comes after 48 game hours without speaking.

I did get the stammerer title, which comes after three hours, but I have yet to receive quiet or silent.

What I wish to know is; does this title even exist? Has anyone else gotten it? Can someone help me out? I'm starting to feel bad about ignoring people in game, and I'd hate someone to think I'm a bot

yes it exists.

best bet is to tell everyone on your friends list and in your guild you are attempting to get silent title. then just go AFK in town for 2 days.

Qiuet Title does exist. However, my friend was going for it and the server would boot her randomly, so she gave up on obtaining it. Lady-Loki also tried for it when she went out of town, but was booted also. Maybe once thier servers are more stable it will be easier to obtain.

New question? Do you get fame for getting titles? I just thought titles were titles and there was nothing really special about them. But, I read in another post about fame, that you should try to get as many titles as you can, because it increases your fame. Is that true?

Yes, you get fame.

But you have to not talk for 48 hours in the same map in order to get Silent.

So I should be like all those annoying people in the mines and go in there to shout a whole bunch of times about nonsense stuff?

That, or have a shout conversation.

I rarely talk outside of guild, party, and whisper chat, so I can't say.

Can I log out and then come back to the same map to continue the streak? Or does it have to be on one continuous log in?

It has to be one continuous log... (so if u got d/c, relog it wont work) but in contrary to what Triumph said... you don't have to stay in the same map... The one where you have to stay in the same map is for Fiesta Guardian. You may as well try and AFK for 2 days and get both title at once.

For silent title, you cannot talk, whisper, guild chat, party chat.

And @ Spirit... The 1st shouting title is Announcer. People say its 100 shouts, I didn't count how many I did before I got that title, but it didnt take long at all. But you cannot do other chats when u're going for shouting titles. Shouts ONLY all the way~

I believe you get booted for inactivity after 18ish hours (this isn't confirmed)

so every now and then, move your character around or unpod him then pod him up or something.

I wouldent be able to do this i play 24/7 and im to talkitive ; ;

The server kicks me off when I'm inactive for 1 hour :/

Then what's the fun is that?

I believe I received that title alternating between normal and shout, so are you sure about the shout only thing?

Deos the server kick you even if you make a shop? Casue I dont know how all those bots that are resting and spamming talking about powerleveling or gold serives stay on so long?

Would being active be just opening your inventory window or something like that or does the character have to move?

Would people get mad if I told them I was going to go for the announcer title and then spammed the same thing 500 times?

it's just a theory of mine. but i believe that by talking, they are registered as active.

some people get annoyed if you do that. It's best to do it where not a lot of people are (echo cave is a popular place to do it)

No i cant be sure, but I got my title with pure shout (obviously LOL)

that was wat i got told... i was hving a shout conversation with another person.. and he jumped up and down when he did a normal talk.. so believed him kekeke

and he said he stuffed up his talk show host title coz he normal chat by accident

but i'm purely hearing it from someone else kekeke

I tried quest beginner title, it doesn't work, I didn't log off at all and finished all 10 quests and turned it in, no title, I think there is a time interval for this title.

Actually I got my Announcer title when I guild talked in between. I'm not sure about normal chat, but guild chat is okay in between shouts.


@ Suggestion about making titles CS obtained - no way! Titles are special because people earn them through hard work. If you can get them by buying it with money, then that loses the whole point in it. If you don't have titles, then that's too bad for not working hard for it. I don't have many titles myself, and it makes me envy those with the titles I want - but if people can get them via cash shop, then I'd be like "meh, stuff titles, anyone with money can get them." =/

This was one thing I didn't like about certain games - they get so caught up in making money that they make every little thing that's special to be purchasable using money. I prefer to have some aspects of the game preserved where money cannot be used to buy it.

In MapleStory when I saw all those people with a lot of CashShop items, people without money to buy those items called them "CSWh0res" because they didn't really play. Most of them just sat in Henesys and said to people that didn't have any cash shop items, too "poor" to afford them, it seperated the population between CS-owners and non-CS owners.

get this one, i'm nearly lvl 39 with my cleric, and the only i got after my 'high cleric' title is popular. yet my bf has stacks of titles and he's only been playing that character for 2 days (he's lvl 35), he doesnt even try, he just checks his titles and he's like: "yes i got the title i wanted and i have no idea when or how i got it" I shout things im selling when i set up a shop in town and i havent got the announcer title, yet i got on his acc to sell his stuff (cause he'd rather sell to NPC's and buy silver from the gold shops than work for his money like i do) and after 10 mins he got the announcer title. I was heart broken :(

Yeah, you'll get kicked off the server :/..I tried to stay online for 8 hours, i didn't get any title because I was kicked offline before 5hours or longer was reached

titles i cant seem to obtain are
monster joke punchline. tried dieing fast, like 60 times in 10 mins. tried dieing from the same mob, 12 times. tried with a cleric ressing me, or respawning at a dungeons entrace. never got it
apprentice merchant. sold stuff to NPCs in worth of 75s first, then 110s, 130s and last time close to 500s. no title :(

any idea about the title Partygoer?

you sure thats how you get monster joke punchline? my bf has that title but he doesnt die that much.

any get the Monster Joke Punchline during next event where GMs send monsters to kill you and get killed over and over without getting rezed.

I have MJP, unlucky enhancer 2x and apprentice merchant.
Don't see how people have trouble getting them.

well i got apprebtice merchant when I was lvl5 so I don't think it's the amount you NPC,

MJP happened after I died 10ish times at the GGK area

unlucky enhancer title number 2. after number one I wish I didn't have reason for getting

With MJP.. apparently you have to lose exp.

I tried dying 70 times at Graveyard after I lvled and didnt get anything, coz i didnt lose any exp (i stopped after my sis told me u need to lose exp.. i was like 0.o i felt really stupid LOL)
