Just asking..what are the chances of getting caught downloading music,movies,shows,anime,etc illegally?

Very slim at best but he got caught because Australia was the first country to get that game and it was leaked onto the net 1 week before its release in Australia

He was probably hosting it on his own server, all in Australia and stuff...?

That's heaps quick that they've finalised the case in 2-3 months..

He must not have given them jurisdiction issues...

The picture is wrong. He didn't get popped for DOWNLOADING the game, he got popped for UPLOADING the game.

The big companies go after the people that SHARE the games/music/whatever. Just be careful about what you upload/share.

Eh, yeah, I know, but to be honest torrents really aren't worth it these days with new stuff. Getting them from scene release sites tend to be faster, at least where I am. And it usually seems to be the newer stuff the companies really, really monitor. You're probably safe torrenting with a lot of the older/obscure stuff.

Fire Emblem was a good game? Hmmm...I wonder why I don't see it on the top 25 Wii games.
