So you're equating the PeaceCorps with Hitler Youth? Really? REALLY?

Edit: OK, so it's about an hour after the video was posted, with my original post coming about five minutes after. I did have to watch the thing, after all. I was really hoping this would going to turn into a conversation instead of just threadshitting. A pity.

I didn't say anything. I actually asked a question in my post.

I was also hoping this would provoke a heated discussion, but threadshitting isn't much of a discussion.

At least you came back, even though saying "I didn't say anything..." after posting a video like that is weaksauce. Why else would you have asked that question and posted that video if you didn't support it's ominous tones and insinuations?

The base line for the discussion now becomes...do you agree with the imagery used in the video? Do you think drawing parallels with Hitler is really appropriate?

You're the one that started this whole thing with an incendiary video and the stated goal of heated discussion, and then when someone tries to discuss it...you act rather mental. Hmm.

And you started the threadshitting, if we want to start blaming people now.

Interrogation =/= discussion.

It just pisses people off. Perhaps you could comment on the video or some of the speeches listed in the video and how they might relate to the Hilter Youth. There are dates and locations of each speech. Hell, you could comment on the diabolic music that sounds so familiar.

I perhaps misused the term threadshitting, since I was referring to your first post. I suppose, on reflection, that one can't really threadshit on the first post, even though you did take a metaphorical dump all over the place.

And if you consider what I'm doing "interrogation", then perhaps it's clear why you might think something like the Peace Corps is equivalent to Hitler Youth. You have no grasp of reality.

I think my feelings of this little piece of agitprop are clear without mentioning specific things like the hackneyed music or severely quote-mined speeches. I wanted to know your feelings on the piece, so I asked questions. That's typically how things work.

The term threadshitting is commonly used when someone completely derails a discussion. In this case you accomplished that without any discussion even established.

But you claimed that you wanted to start a "Heated debate." What hrae did was respond to the video. You then proceeded to freak out and refuse to have a point-counterpoint discussion with him.

Also, all of his assumptions DO have a good deal of reasoning behind them; you clearly seemed to support the video in your first post, and your claim for a wish of "Heated debate" once again seems to make it look like you wanted to take such a position. Besides, hrae's a lot of things, but the last thing he is is without a bit of rationality.

As for my own opinion on it, i disagree entirely with all the idea that obama's the anti-christ, or some kind of nazi-fascist-stalinist. In fact, i find such claims to be outrageously pathetic. I just feel he's no different from any other politician except in the fact that his campaign promises were a bit more high-spirited than normally. While i dont think he's the anti-christ, i doubt he's really gonna make too much change either.

However, it IS fun to see fox-newser's try to dissect his every move and try to make him look like a fascist...
