Each year level ends close to the end of the year... makes sense to me.

Our school system are cycled under calendar years...

So you guys start school around march-april?

Usually late Jan/early Feb

Or school year is split into blocks of aabout 10 weeks, with 2 week breaks inbetween each term. Then there's the Christmas/New year break when you finish the year.

I think 37-38. Somewhere close to that.

It's about the same for us, unless you're in year 11/12. Year 12s finish normal classes about 7 weeks early because of exams.

Oh, well we get like a 2 1/2 month summer break. You guys probably have longer fall/spring/winter breaks.

We get about a 2 month summer break, which is at the end of the year for us. The other 3 breaks are spread throughout the year in 2 week blocks, 3 weeks in some schools.

And then you start a month later than normal schools coz uni starts in March rather than Feb (If that's the same in VIC)

3-4 months break for uni students!!

all up, for a normal school year, we get 12 weeks holidays in a year... (summer breaks are usually about 6 weeks)

Someone sent me an honest box comment saying that the most exotic place they could see me traveling to would be Australia.
