Class discussion.
I think its about time we had one of these. We all have our own opinions about each class. Some we dislike and some we love. But when have we ever really just sat down to discuss the pros, cons, and whatever else about each class? Now remember something, these are only OPINIONS, not facts. So do not attack one another. Not everyone is going to love your class and if they don't, don't worry about it. First, lets discuss Fighters, shall we? I want everyone to list what they believe is the pros and cons of the Fighter class. Then I want you to tell me why you play or don't play the Fighter. And just for your information, i'm doing it this way so this thread isn't all over the place and hopefully to keep some people calm. ^-^

hohum. fighters have :
LOTS of HP. ( but somehow they die really easily too during tankin. >.> ) HIGH attack and endurance . But i didn't play that cause i felt the clothings for fighters wasn't nice until the lvl 30s-40s. No offence though. They deal a mighty lot a damage. ;D |
I like fighters, they help keep me alive :D I didn't want to be a fighter cuz I don't like all of the responsibility, if one of the DD's died, it'd be partially my fault.

Hm, fighters.
I like partying one, I dislike versing one ( their stun really kills me >: ), and I... haven't tried playing it yet. Fighters rarely appealed to me in mmorpgs, I can't think of a game where I actually played a fighter/warrior type of class for long. Heck, I don't think I even started any in any of the games I've played. But I am thinking starting one if I feel like it in this game though, because the level 40 set looks awesome. 8D |

While I love clerics and fighters, I would never be one. Like Yosei said, I'd bawl if I let people die D: /emocutwrists Also, I do have a lower cleric and it hurts my wrists spamming heal. >_< I'll stick to my massive damage plskthx :3 |
Fighters are great but if you don't got a cleric, then your gonna go broke on HP stones. Since fighters can have the most stones, they spend the most money. Costs me 2.5s to buy full HP and SP stones at lvl 29 -.-

Never played a fighter before ... and was never attracted to one. But I can honestly say that they are the meat shield and can take all the hits. Look at da muscles man! >.< |

The only reason I wanted to stick with just one class at a time was to keep the thread organized, civilized, etc. But if you want we can just go ahead and make it just an open discussion. Minus flaming and what not. But before we do, let me give you all my opinion on Fighters. First of all, i'm not a Fighter person. Their power and armor/weapons has always appealed to me quite a bit but when I do play one I never get far with them. In all honesty, they just bore the hell out of me.
Also i'm sure that class is incredibly expensive. I'm not saying that the others aren't either but unless you've got a friend who happens to be a Cleric and always pays attention, you'll be using up a lot of HP stones (and/or potions). And as far as I know Fighters carry the most HP stones. Mages carry the most SP stones. Clerics have an almost equal amount of both. And Archers... I have no idea. So anyways, yeah, Fighters just don't appeal to me like some of the other classes do. Don't get me wrong, I make a pretty damn good Fighter but its just not my thing. Anyways, go ahead and start discussing all the classes now. I'll chime in every now and then to give my totally not-biased *cough* opinion! Also the Fighter armor until level 30 just sucks. Man skirt? Psh, no thanks. |
Clerics, hands down.
Buffs, cheap leveling, lots of skills, good looking armor (I guess). You name it. We can even do moderately good damage. |
Huh. Well for me I usually start with a fighter. Mainly because, in most MMORGPs, Fighters or Warriors or Swordsmen are the most cheap to play. Meaning they don't use much except for brute force. But for Fiesta, I think Archers are the most cheap to play. Well that's what I feel. For me... Whenever I sleep, I keep hearing the sounds of a cleric's heal on me. Maybe that's what you get for always tanking in a KQ. Well it was during Mara KQ but I still hear it.

>=D same here! Archers rule. <3 the armour, and the bow. The crossbow looks kinda wierd when firing, though, and especially with some of the skills. O.o I love the animation on Nature's Protection. Waiting till I get it. Cleric armours are pretty cool, and the buff looks awesome l_l But it just takes such a long time to move from one level to the next! |
Fun with Fighter
To me Fighters are the most appealing.
With my level 38 Fighter nothing ever bores me. Fighter classes are not as expensive as they seem to be and fighters carrying the most HP stones are a lie. I carry 0 HP stones and 5sp stones and the rest i just use potions i picked up from kills. I think of it this way, It's my job to tank and risk suicide, and its the clerics job to heal or else why be a cleric? why tank? so 0 hp stones for me. Sorry clerics. But I always ended up doing well. The only thing expensive about the fighter is the 1 handed fighter or in my case, a fighter that uses 1hand, 2hand, and axes (but i only buy 2hand skills) which is THE most costly. 1hand sword +sheild when tanking and 2hand sword when I'm not tanking while the axe is when I need to do heavier damage (like when your in a party with onky fighters/clerics.) haha I love the fighter class the most and playing to level 38 was a blast. |

I think i'm normally an Archer person, but under my sister's influence i've taken on the Clerics as well... Cleric in this game is great fun~ hving control over other people's life and if i get shout at for not keeping them alive then they dont get revive XD jkjk On a serious note... this game allow Clerics to fight and support, sort of got the best of both sides so i'm enjoying it very much (even though sometimes there's lotsa responsibility) I've started a mage coz it was suggested that it's the best class to use for material gathering... that's pretty true coz u can fight green mobs really quickly and the kiting often works pretty well... but i find that coz it's skill based, hving to spam skills constantly to kill got a bit annoying for grinding... just started on my new archer (lvl...4? XD) so cant say too much yet... but i think i'll hv more fun on it than the mage... personally.... |
Well I'm like Blahs. I use whatever weapon which comes to me cheap. Was using the axe I got from job change until I broke it and then I bought a new axe. Then while doing Mara I got a 1hand sword so I bought a shield. Tried enhancing to +1, broke. Tried 3 more times, broke. Decided to stay safe with a normal shield. Well with a cleric around, the us fighters only have to worry about sp when using skills.

From what a couple of people have said about clerics leveling slow, WAY WRONG.
A cleric is needed everywhere, even by people in uruga that are 30 levels above you and need someone to heal mash them. Leveling 3 times a day is usual for me now that I have gotten to and staying in uruga. |
Totally agree with ThievingSix. xD Clerics can solo if they want, but are normally needed by tankers. So normally if I party with a tanker, I'll sit around for a while and keep spamming heal on him and get free exp. xP jkjk.
So yeah, clerics can actually lvl quite fast, and deal quite a good amt of damage if you skill empower correctly. >.> |
Playing a fighter
Its VERY satisfying to take down a cleric no matter the level. warriors and clerics have it very well for most of thier leveling Mages and archers not so much. There are much more fighters and clerics then mages and archers later on in the higher levels. |
i think fighters get more interesting once they've got the Devestate skill... but that's too many levels away...
once again.. i think a fighter can only take down a cleric if they've reached the level to get devestate... the only way to kill us (on a 1v1) would be to stun us repeatedly. |
Whether a class appeals to you or not depends on your preferred playstyle
I like being a warrior because i like making my enemies run in all directions to avoid me only to get stunned and a sword up thier Bum Some others prefer the archer just to rip off legolas from LOTR Were all different really.....some classes are just more fun for others |
Normally we'll just heal if u hit us. BUT I HATE GETTING STUNNED. >.> I feel so.. helpless? xD Anyway, we have invincible to help.

Cleric was fun to play in this game. You weren't just a helpless little Priest like in some games and are able to deal damage. I also must admit their armour is very nice as well. The only problem was that it became to repetitive with just Bash as your main source of 'big' damage dealing. So then I fell back to my favourite job in all games: the Archer.
The various skills you can spam is great as well as your DoT skills. I've always loved small, fast characters in any game. I've tried a little bit of PvP here and there and although I can't take Fighters or Clerics near my level or higher... I can most definitely take down a Mage. :P Will be easier once I get the other poisoning skill. Ahh... love my Archer... hard to play anything else. Now my opinion on Fighters. I always try playing it and I like its tanking abilities! In KQs you'll find me spamming Snearing Kick here and there... and I got to say I'm a pretty good tanker. I suppose it's the practice from trying to tank as a Cleric and as an Archer (yes I had to tank as an Archer). I love the HP pool as well but the SP is so... so sad. Mages... all I can say is that it dies too quickly for me to even enjoy it. Mages are never my first choice when playing any mmorpg. But I'll admit their armour in this game is smexy. |
