I asked for his name, and I was still looking at his face, he must have saw my puzzled face and he said "It's XXX from the Cafe downstairs"

Some restaurants make you sign a waiver before ordering certain items. This might be one of them.

I had to do that once. Entered a contest, ate a huge burger, fries, and beer. Got a t-shirt and my name on the wall, LOL.
