Well, it's only gonna be like 5 minutes, right?

The server restart is only supposed to be five. Then again the Halloween patch was supposed to be 5 hours and not 9, so who knows?

Either way I don't think this is that server restart they talking about, since it's not 7 am Nov, 2. It's about quarter after midnight here so I think that puts Outspark time at around quarter after 9 or 10 pm Nov, 1.

yeah sounds like the server reset is for tmr.... apparently the server is down for maintenance (fix cash shop descriptions) for about 2 hrs....

While we wait, can someone explain professions to me?

What professions?

The basics of each. No clue how to pick one and stuff.

Read the main sites overview of them.... IMHO it's better to pick a character that suits your personality rather than the one that happens to be godmodded and have "ub0r l33t skillz"

Professions as in potion making and stuff.

u're gonna start another major debate here with a simple question like that...

Lets start with what I see for each class...

Cleric is mainly a support class in this game, they heal, buff, and at earlier levels (before 40) we only have 1 attack skill - Bash.

Generally we can tank better than an archer or mage. But we have a much slower attack power. (But we can still solo if you choose the right build.)

Fighters are the tanking class, they have skills that makes mobs hit them instead of other class, they're not exactly a damage dealing class either... more a tanking class...

OK i'm getting bored so i'll cut this short

Mage and Archers are the dmg dealing class with range atk.

Alchemy is part of it, yes. I want to know how to start off the whole item-making thing.

Just buy the alchemy scrolls/skills....

What's is there to know about?

There's 5 production skills
-Potions
-Stones
-Scroll
-Material decomposition
-Material Composition

I'd recommend that you start with potions and Scrolls skills.. then if u need, set up a new character to make stones and Material Decomposition.

Material Decomposition is when you make a Tier 2 material (eg. Beast Leather) to Tier 1 Material (eg. Beast Leather LQ)

There's a lot of information in Wiki for the ingredient u need for each skill.

I bought the Elure Recipe, but I can't seem to use it. It's the lowest one too. Why?

And why do the latter skills need skill points? How're you supposed to start off..... Material Composition, for example, if you have no skill points?

I agree with the scrolls part, but I really think stones is a better option. Mobs drop dust like crazy at lower levels, and Elrue[1] can sell for 40c a piece.

I guess it depends on what class you are, if you're a fighter, pots will probably be more useful for personal use.... but if its solely for vending... Stone mats will be more readily available (and i dont recommend enhancing, so stones should never been used for urself but for others to break their weapons with XD)

is she a cleric? i dont really know.. sounds like she's still deciding haha

but yeah i'm a cleric.. pots and scrolls was wat i learnt 1st... and its not that hard to make a 2nd character to start on stone skill... since there's no level requirement... so technically... wat skill to learn shouldnt be a problem.

So what can composition and decomposition do?

Composition combines stuff. Decomposition disassembles stuff.

Composition lets you combine a number of low quality drops to make a higher quality item (e.g. a number of tough meats can make a tender meat).

Decomposition is the opposite - where you can break down higher quality to change it into lower quality.

You need alchemy stones for this - which you can purchase from the Item Merchant in Elderine with fame.

Most people use decomp skills to get the materials they need for Potions, Scrolls and Stones...

I guess you can use it for money making, but you'll need A LOT of inventory space.. which I'm struggling really bad for....

Heh, I got in and killed King Boogie and Mutant Wolf real quick. First time I've seen them since closed beta, got the boogie's staff and wolf broadsword :)

LOL So Pritcher was sitting there, reading to jump into the servers to kill the king boogie and mutant wolf! 8D

Lol no I just happened to try to log in and noticed how few people were around Elderine so I figured I'd check em. I don't have a fighter on teva, but I may make one. I do have a new mage that will make good use of the staff for a while though.

King Boogy's staff/Teva. It's a just a nice lil lowby staff, but I have mage not quite lvl 15 so she should make good use of it.
