What time does school start in Australia?

My son's school starts at 7:55am. I find that strange, because when I was in school, it started 8:00am. However, he does get out 15 minutes earlier on Mondays and 10 minutes earlier on the other days. Not sure if it is the same way for other schools in the US or if it is just my school district.

And yes, what time does school start in Australia?

About 9am - 3pm. It will vary a bit depending on the school. I use to start at 8.45am and finish at 3.05pm.

WTH!! 6 hours a day. I used to go 7:30am - 3:45pm I think. It has been too long but it was something like that.

my school day is from 7:30-2:10

When I was in school, I had to get up at 5:00AM o.O

7.30 is when u get up.. not when school starts!! thats really early... -thinking about it makes me yawn-

My school starts tommorow XD (halloween) and starts from 8:45AM ~ 3:20PM
I usualy get up at 7:30 or 7:00 (when I have eary shower / bath).

Wow..I am really jealous of you guys' schools...I get up at 5:30, get ready, take a bus at 7:00, get to school at 7:20, start classes at 7:30, get out at 12:30, eat lunch and wait until 2:00 to take another bus home, I get home around 2:45, homework until 4:30, snack, then the rest of the day is mine until 12:30 at that time I goto bed.

9:00 - 3:15 for me. O_o

Well, back in my day . . .

We had to get up before the sun (no clocks that long ago) feed the chickens, gather eggs, milk the cows and slaughter the pig just to make breakfast. Then we had to walk 5 miles to school, uphill in the snow. Got to school and had to carry in 2 5-lb. buckets of coal for the stove. Study study study and write on pieces of slate with sticks that we charred in the fire. Eat cold biscuit and cold bacon for lunch from our tin buckets. Study study study and write on pieces of slate with sticks that we charred in the fire some more. Pull a bucket of water from the well to douse the fire in the stove. Walk 5 miles back home, uphill in the snow. Feed all the livestock and harvest the vegetable garden to prepare vegetable soup for supper. Chop enough firewood to keep the fire going all night. And back to bed as the sun went down (no lights so after dark not much left for a kid to do :()

(LOL) Yeah, my days were pretty much catch a bus at 7:15 - school 8:00 - 3:00 - bus home by 3:30

Everyday wake up and go to school: 6am ~ 6:25am
Reach school: 6:45am ~ 7:15am (Depending on the bloody bus)
School Start: 7:30am
Mondays Leave School at: 5:30pm ~ 6:30pm
Tuesdays, Thursdays Leave School at: 8pm ~ 9pm
Wednesdays Leave School at: 2:40pm
Fridays Leave School at: 1pm (Tuition from 3pm ~ 6pm)
