Is there a reason why you can only have 2 images in your signature?

Spam much? LOL

Anyway, it's probably to stop over-enthusiastic people and their massive signatures.

Couldn't it be you can have as many images as you want as long you do not exceed the siggie limit size

Just so a.L doesn't look like he's crazy, all spam was deleted.

Could also have something to do with people having not the best internet connections and not limiting images on a signature could slow them down. And of course there's the no one bothers to read the signature size limit and goes crazy and gets several wallpapers in their sig courtesy of the official forums. :)

This forum is nice already.. the other forum I was on, they even limit the siggy file size to only 29kb!!!

You could always use Photoshop or something and make it a single image with everything you want.

Maybe the problem is like Jikanu's, where he can't put more than two images out of the 4 he has because each is a seperate clickable hyper-link (image)

We could change it so only certain groups can have more than two images but.. we'll go ask Entropy first for this, haha.

Yeah. that annoys the hell out of me.

Second thoughts, we'll probably just leave it like that. We don't really want the servers to bust.. if we have too many images in the sig.

We could put a data- restriction to insure it wouldnt go too high... even three would be good. i just wanna be able to have a sig AND my 2 adoptables... text sigs are getting boring... x.x

would it be possible to have a file-size restriction?

Yes, but it saves precious screen space.

could we disclude them from the limit? that would be an awesome fix.

Do you really need TWO adoptables?

I mean, they're nice and all but they're just pictures you click and they gain levels. Hardly exciting stuff. Heck, just make it one picture and then write in the levels yourself underneath it.

*shrugs* meh... i guess i'll have to stick with text based sigs. i enjoy the adoptables.

well same with dragoncave, but they're still funxD
and plus, multiple images mean that people who have dragoncave can have all their eggs/hatchlings here to help them hatch, and eggs are fairly small.
And if i have multiple adoptable, i can lvl them up faster, seeing as this is the only forum that i'm active on.
And i think it shoudl be premmies only, i'm sure all the premmies here are trustworthy enough to know the wont flood their siggies with thousands of moving images.

If you are so desperate to have more than two adoptables then just do what everyone else did with dragon cave. Make a thread dedicated to leveling it up. If it's in MoS you can bump the thread as many times as you'd like. You can have up to 26 (or 25 I forgot) images in a single post. Or take up Ralath's suggestion and make it one whole image and link the levels instead.

Frankly, just because one or two people want more adoptables it isn't a good enough reason, in my own opinion, to change it.

Adoptable arn't the only reason why to increase the limit.

But you do have a point in people spamming to get premmie =/

If it's to have more than one signature... well having 3 already goes over the current signature size limit off 350 x 500. I'm pretty sure that limit will not be removed for reasons already mentioned.

I'm not trying to crash every reason you (or anyone else) give and not attacking in any way, just so you and the others know. I'm aware it is a suggestion but if this is a serious suggestion then there should probably be a damn good reason behind it for the change if you get what I mean.

Well I already gave up on this, since i'm pretty sure it's not going to happen.
Though if you want, i can give you some reasons why some people would use multiple images in their siggies.

Not bashing any ideas here, since we have always welcomed suggestions. Just keep in mind that not all suggestions are in the best interest for the forum as a whole. So, simply because a few people would like to see the option implemented, does not mean that it will be accepted. But, at the same time, that does not mean that the idea was bad or that we are against any certain person and their ideas. And this is directed at everyone as a whole, not anyone directly.

Saying that, I will add my thoughts on the suggestion. While it is a good one, it does make it hard for those of us with limited internet options to open pages. I am on a satellite internet now, and I get billed by the bytes I download. Also, the more I have to download, the slower my internet works. So, if people are allowed to have multiple images in their siggies, this just makes it twice as hard for those of us that are already limited.

And although members do have the option of turning signatures off, as a mod I do not have that option.

And for those that want to make comments, yes I recognize and accept that I have not been on a lot lately. But, I do hop on and check things over when I can. And I am also hoping that soon, I will be able to log in even more, since my life is slowly falling back into place.

Well one reason I see that someone might need 3 pictures is if they won a member running event and they wanna add a tag to the existing two pictures that they've got...

But I guess that's not a good enough reason since only the caption contest is running that has a member tag LOL

or, people may want to post their multiple guilds tag in their siggie since it doesn't show up on your tags anymore

hmm yeah But look at Hraes, he joined up his picture so... that might have to be the way to go...
