You know how i was horrified at the fact that they've assigned the siblings of the Jonas Brothers and Hannah Montana as the lead roles in the new miyazaki movie?

i just heard a preview of it... and though the girl's voice is okay, the voice for the leading male is just AWFUL. X.x

Ponyo on the Cliff by the Sea. it's his new one. i read the storyline and it's pretty great. It's a hit in Japan too, from what i've heard.

Walt wanted to entertain and make money. Have you seen the sales figures on those shows? Someone's buying an awful damn lot of it. Seems to make some people happy. Meh. It's not like back when Walt was around and he was the only show in town. Turn the channel.

No, I most obviously am gunna sit on this channel ( I have digital cabel so I don't flip through channels ) which I never have passed, and watch something I think is corrupting the youth. Teaching little boys its okay to sing and speak like a flamer and wear fish nets and pink clothing.

If you READ The post, i dont care about the CHANNEL. but they're interfering with Studio Ghibli now. That's one of my favorite studios out there.

It was a figurative "channel". If you don't like it, don't watch it/support it. Apparently someone at Studio Ghibli signed off on it.

I believe miyazaki gave the rights to their dubs to them, and trusts them because they're such a huge name in animation, and they've done pretty well overall. im not entirely sure on whether or not he watches the english dubs, but it doesnt neccesarilly hurt the magic of the movies. I'll just have to wait to the dub :/
