Fried Chicken
Do you guys eat fried chicken with ketchup? I think most asians eat it with ketchup, well all the ones i know do. Before i went to private school, like 95% asians, and when we had fried chicken, we all at it with ketchup. Then i went to public school, and we had fried chicken for lunch, and nobody ate it with ketchup except me.
i know, lame discussion xD |

I like my fried chicken with ketchup. o-o Especially if it's a big piece because I get bored of it.
I didn't think it was an Asian thing. Pretty sure most of my family doesn't normally eat it ketchup. But we also don't eat fried chicken a lot so maybe that's why... Or I just don't see them get ketchup, haha. |

I usually eat most things with ketchup actually. Unless it's a salad, soup or sauce of course. Friend I know uses ketchup only to cover the taste of food that isn't so good >D |
Ohh yes of coz, Mayo is the Jap way of eating fried chicken... I didnt know you do BOTH though...

As for fried chicken, it depends on what kind it is: - for whole pieces of chicken (such as chicken breast) chicken fried chicken at a restaurant is good with gravy over it, but home fried chicken we generally use any sauce or gravy - chicken strips we generally put hot sauce on, like a buffalo wing type hot sauce or a nice rich thick hot sauce (my current favorite is this - except my 4 year old granddaughter who hasn't developed her taste for hot & spicy yet and she prefers both ketchup & mustard on her plate and will usually alternate between the two unless she has honey mustard and then she just prefers the honey mustard. |
gah, i don't like using host sauce, unless its the asian kind.
like this http://culturewizard.rw-3llc.com/wp-...2/sriracha.jpg i think my dad permanently killed most of his taste buds, whenever he eats anything, he puts like loads of it in, like, a lot a lot. Also, fish sauce > soy sauce |
LOL did you notice that on the same both, some chinese goes from right to left, and some goes from left to right...
well bit harder to see how that lirange resized it.. xD It was HUGE before XD |
http://photos.mlive.com/photos/kalam...737d017758.jpg
it was huge, so i got a smaller size image and i didn't know that, i can't read chinese because i'm viet. Well, i can't read or speak viet either LOL xD yes i know, such a disgrace |
If we get fried chicken (strips) at Wal-Mart or something to take it home to eat, then I'll put ketchup on it. But that's because we don't really have any other type of sauce at home that would go with it.
But if I'm eating at a place like Chick-Fil-A or McDonalds, I'll get Honey Mustard or Sweet and Sour sauce or Ranch. Also, dumplings are good with black vinegar, soy sauce, and sesame oil. x) |
1.) I'm azn.
2.) I eat my friend chicken with ketchop. |
I eat my fried chicken with blended up bacon as a sauce.

I've seen many white people put ketchup on their fried chicken. I don't think it is an Asian thing, I just think people really like ketchup. Me I could live without ketchup very easily I don't even put it on my french fries. but give me some of that sriracha any time. |

uhhh yep
When I was a kid I liked to dip my Ruffels potato chips in ketchup. |
Is it true the US doesn't have Ketchup flavoured chips... someone told me that. oO
And yes dumplings go nice with vinegar, bit of soy sauce and sesame oil. :3 Now I'm hungry... |

Oh, hi5!
YES, ICE CREAM AND FRENCH FRIES. Wanna talk about weird combinations... Smeared ice cream sandwich on a pepperoni pizza. 3 starbursts in a rib sandwich Lumpia (egg roll) dipped in Sprite... Sprite mixed with vanilla ice cream (Sprite float) I should make more weird combinations. |
