What is it with these bosses that bring out the erm, well, asshole, in people? Seriously.. everytime I go to one of those, theres some people there who will just do anything they are capable of to make your time there annoying and hard. Be it training you, leeching off of you, harassing you, blargh! I mean clearly its so they can get to the big man first and get the kill, but sheesh, ever heard of common courtesy?

People want rare items.

They sell well due to their potentially higher quality stats.

Greed is a motivator for many people, even in a game.

Fortunately, there are ways to exempt yourself.

People are selfish.

I mean, there's no other reason for them to do it except for satisfying wat they want for themselves (whether its exp, drops, annoying others, being an ass).

They're all just out for themselves.

That's why you crush their greed and make them feel humility. Only then, can they be saved.

Seriously.. I was in Bonds of Darkness today, camping Torturer King.
It was two parties, we both got there at the same time and we started running at the same time. My party ran into a mob, they ran past, they ran into a mob, we ran past, we ran into a mob, they ran past, then it was in our favor and we got the clear run. Instantly one of the guys was like "War those noobs please". Then later we were running to another room when the party ran up behind us and basically began leeching off of us. They'd stand there and wait for us to kill things, and follow us. One of my party members meant to write into party chat, but said in normal chat, "And they called us noobs?"
And then the guy was like "Yeah, cuz you are.", and basically they began picking a fight <.< making themselves look like complete jerks.
How the hell do you follow people, a party thats doing better than you, leech off of them, and then call them noobs?

This is Fiesta.

Which is why I spend my peaceful days camped in a loud, noisy, spammy Elderine making orange pills for people to consume...

But yeah, even if it's a game, it's people playing. and just like in real life, some people don't really care how they act towards you. In life you'll always run into douchebags and death, that much is a given!

I mean.. sure, everyones going there to get items, but if I see a party running, I go in the opposite direction as them, its common courtesy >_<

Sure desperate times demands desperate measures, but you got to know when to draw the line. What you did was uncalled for. And btw if you don't know, maybe those 4 ex-party members have friends; and those friends have even more friends. Next thing you know, you ain't partying with anyone. And that's how you tarnish your reputation. Then you come here, again, and blab on and on about your "unfortunate" adventures. Don't expect any sympathy then.
The way it should have been handled, was to sequential the loot and that's that. A spur of the moment can burn you a lifetime.

Thats so selfish, and mean. Having no money is no excuse.. I had a friend who had 1s and needed to buy himself his lvl 50 sword and shield.
Farming is an honest way to earn money.

Anyway for the issue of this, yes its very wrong IMO for all this greed. But what can you expect? Good thing is that what they do is banable.

Now...if this was the battle zone (high exp but open pvp areas) I wouldn't show no mercy to others regardless of ANYTHING.

Yeah.. they might not be right there next to you in person, but still.. its a person playing that. We play this game as a way to have fun in our free time, and it gets ruinned if theres greedy inconsiderate idiots.

As well as greed, there's the power trip element. There are just some people who get hard-ons from bullying or taunting other people. Most likely, these people are too weak to do the same in real life, so they have to resort to doing it in a game.

I noticed it pretty much every where I go.. Even on the smaller mobs. I usually just shrug it off and watch them get killed if they are dilligantly wanting to get there first. So I'm like "Meh" and put up with it and go somewhere else and come back later.

Other than that... Yes... greed... everyone has greed, but it's not as bad when people are so full of themselfs that they call a fighter useless and ban you from a party though you are exceeding in everything they ask of you befor you get to SK.. -goes to corner and cries.-

Everyone looks at this game differently. Messara and KYJelly are a perfect example of one end of the spectrum. They see this as a free online game used to waste time, nothing more. people on this game dont matter and thus their opinion of them doesn't matter. They play the game to bring enjoyment to themselves and to hell with anyone else.

then on the other side you have people like O-mie and bla~ahs and such. They see this as a fun hobby where they make online friends and its almost as much of a social network as it is a game for them. They enjoy partying with their new found fiesta friends and thus what people think of them and their reputation in game holds a little more weight in their eyes.

and at the end of the day, you're both right. crazy huh?

I'm more like his idea of Blahs and O-mie. I don't necessarily take the game seriously, its only a game, I too screw around a lot, and I don't care what people think about me. But at the same time, I make a lot of friends, and I like making friends, be it online or in person, so I present myself in a mature manner. I dislike peoples immature acts only when I'm trying to get something done in the game.
