Things worth implementing?

Well since I've been playing Fiesta I've noticed some things they could've added in like.. some kind of chat delay on normal chat. I mean, you know those really annoying people that go:
[Chat Box]
_______________________
"Selling Lv. 30 Fighter Shield"
"Selling Lv. 30 Fighter Shield"
"Selling Lv. 30 Fighter Shield"
"Selling Lv. 30 Fighter Shield"
Wtf? Stop it. D:
"Selling Lv. 30 Fighter Shield"
"Selling Lv. 30 Fighter Shield"
"Selling Lv. 30 Fighter Shield"
"Selling Lv. 30 Fighter Shield"
________________________

Or any other item? That's pretty annoying.. and yelling at them to stop doesn't work either.. that and explosives. I also think they should implement a Empowerment Reset NPC which resets all of your empowerements for a fee of course.. something like 50s or something will do or perhaps higher? I messed up on my empowerments and want another chance to have a "perfect" empowered skills worth empowering.. o_o;
I want to get more character customizations soon.. I don't know when they're going to do that. >_>;

Anyone have any other ideas on what should be added?

Summed up:
  • Chat Delay Feature
  • Empowerment Reset NPC
  • More Character Customization
(I know it's coming out later but had to put it down. o_O)
For some reason, I have that strange feeling this was on here before.. too tired to reach for the search feature but not tired to write all of this. Something like deja vu?

There is a cash shop item in all Asian (Why do they get the best stuff?! Dx *ignoring the fact that open beta started just 2 months ago*) versions of Fiesta.
I think it only resets one point per use, but there might be an item for more.
*finds price*

Yosei 10-25-2007 03:20 AM

I'd like it if it reset all of them.

Pedobear 10-25-2007 03:26 AM

the delay would make shout titles impossble to obtain.

just make it so you cannot say the same thing 3 times. This would also stop a lot of gold farming advertisers.

Hessah 10-25-2007 03:37 AM

yeah... agree with Pedobear... ROSE Online gives u warning "DONT SPAM" or something to that effect when u say the same thing repetitively...

would be hell if there's a chat delay on normal chat... for me anyway.. coz i always do typos and i quickly go "correction*" as soon as i see my typo... it'll drive me nuts if my correction just disappears (as it happens when u try to shout too quickly)

I guess i dont mind skill empower reset... but they gotta make it hard and expensive... otherwise it seems a bit unfair that u can change those points so easily... maybe if u've taking a pt out from a particular skill.. u cant take a point out again from that skill if you put the pts back in...

And I always vote yes to character customisation.... =D

O-mie 10-25-2007 04:11 AM

I think by now its pretty obvious we all want character customization xD

I also would want more REAL events, not..."Find the GM LOLZ" or those really boring, unimaginative ones they have now. Flyff had a nice idea with some events, where they scriped temporary NPC's with the event quests. They were kind of fun. More PVP tournaments would be fun too =o Or GW tournaments. (Not GW the GM, boring~) Like an actual GW tournament.

My two cents~

I would love to be able to reset the skill points and the stat points as I have screwed mine all up in the begining not knowing what the heck I was doing (first MMORPG). Maybe they could make it where you could only reset them 1 time or something like that, so you can't just keep changing them.

Enraya 10-26-2007 09:22 AM

Yeah, I'd love it if they had some kind of empowerment stat reset.
I messed up on my cleric ... but now that I moved to Teva and studied more on archers I guess I won't mess up more. But it would be pretty cool to have an empowerment stat reset.

What I want to see is icons on the map which show where your friends and guild-mates are on that map.

I agree, that would be incredibly helpful rather than constantly having to invite your friends to a party just to find them.

Pedobear 10-26-2007 12:28 PM

friend and guildy icons would be nice.

empower resets would throw the game off (same with stat resets)

"hey, we are party grinding in uruga, wanna come?"
"oh sure, let me just reset my skill points and buff taunt, mock, and toughness"

a while later
"we are gonna GW guild X, meet in eld"
"oh sure, let me just go skill reset and buff up devastate and power hit here"

being able to change your stat or skill points to suit the situation takes a good deal of the challenge out of the game.

Which is why you make the cost for each reset go up each time you reset. Say for a reset it's 100s. No big deal, then the next time you reset.. 200s, 300s.. and so on. That or you can just make it a premium item to reset which can be bought with real money. Just ideas I'm throwing out there.

I know its strange but its kinda true XD

Expect to see most of this soon during the game release

As for resetting expect to PAY via Cash shop for resets. X_x

If anything i would like more playing classes but we all know thats virtually impossible.
Also want more pvp options. If I am allowed to dream, something like guild wars (THE GAME)

That's why I said you should only be able to do it one time per character in case you made a mistake or wanted to change the way you play, so people would not be able to do what you are saying here. I agree if you could change it as many times as you want to, it would make it too easy.

oh, i'm willing to bet money it will come out as a cash item.

I'm also willing to be money you will be able to buy mounts faster than anything you can buy in game, houses that heal faster than anything you can buy in game, various outfits, special buffs, and just about anything else you can think of to make a cash user overpowered.

Well its already the case if you look at the rewards given at certain events. The racoon mount for example... Cute and very fast.

This would work, or there is the way FlyFF did it. When you make your first job advancement they give you a stat point refund and a Reskill Scroll. You only get the one, but most people who mess up their points do it before level 20 so that would save a lot of grief. Then they could also allow them to be sold in the cash shop if you messed up again. I don't think that would be too bad.

Lyoven 10-26-2007 07:47 PM

a one-time skill reset thingie would be nice
if they would give this power to an npc (which they wont, cos then we wouldnt spend our money on the cash shop one) then the price should depend on the players level. like the price for our hp/sp stones is

Thats a great idea except... what if you happen to lag when you go to place a skill and accidentally click something else? Then you go and buy that item. Use it, then replace all the skills. Then lets say it happens again. Then you have to go back to the Fiesta Store and buy that item again. And its possible it'll happen again and again to numerous people.

they cant throw out a major facet of this game because some people lag.

thats like saying "what if you die because you lag, you should get free on the spot respawns"
