complicated? It lacked serious content.

A_Forever 06-23-2009 03:06 AM

I was kidding. I've never even played it. LOL

Fighterboy 06-23-2009 03:08 AM

Liar!

A_Forever 06-23-2009 03:10 AM

Liar? How so? o:

I can't really say something is complicated if I haven't tried it.. sooo.. you must be saying that I have tried it and did think it was complicated.

Well, sir, I have no computer to play games on. Not sure how to play ESO without being able to dl and install it on a computer. o-o

Anything else goes, basically.

Lirange 06-23-2009 03:17 AM

eso is very simple, and very noob friendly, and very easy to play.

Fighterboy 06-23-2009 03:17 AM

Thats what i thought... Now i dont think ill like ESO

Lirange 06-23-2009 03:21 AM

No because Mikey said it lacked content. But i still think it has enough content for me.

Lirange 06-23-2009 03:29 AM

well i wouldn't really say it lacks content
it depends on the person, if they think the game has enough content or not
and this is only ob anyways, its only been out for a few months, this game isnt going to have hundreds of things to do. Even though this game has enough to do to keep you busy.

If fiesta lacked content for you you are goin to have alot less to do in ES.

Fighterboy 06-23-2009 01:38 PM

Really? how so? 2 more classes 2 more races.

Lirange 06-23-2009 10:07 PM

eh, i'd say eso has more content
they have pvp, that one pvp room, dungeons, tons of quests, monster capturing, monster training, fusing, crafting, pk, etc.

Awesome.

Loveless 06-23-2009 11:35 PM

Can't say it lacks content if you've only scratched the surface.

Like Lirange mentioned there are tons of things to do; especially when you find the right people to do it with. Level 45 is when you're open for PK. Each person has their own thing they like to do so you may find out in the end that it wasn't your thing, but you wouldn't know til you try anyway.

Hopefully within a week they'll get the official release up and running with cap raise and new features.

Fighterboy 06-23-2009 11:41 PM

I'm still waiting to download it.

Sounds awesome, but really not for me.

PvP, bleh. Same as others.

One PvP room. Is it that thing where you get those cards and turn into monsters? Never tried it, sounds fun at high levels, not good at low levels.

Dungeons killed me. Maybe it was my class, I suggest not to be a Dragoon. They're kinda broken.

Tons of Quests. Psh, YEAH. Yep, there's tons of quests, that make you do the same thing. Well mostly all MMOs have quests that make you do the same thing.

Monster capturing. Yeah, but you only use like 2 of them, more if you use cs items. And it's kinda difficult to capture a monster, the things you buy them with are very expensive at low levels. Think of it like Pokemon, except harder to catch monsters.

Monster Training. Well you don't really train them, you grind with them, giving them exp, and leveling them.

Fusing. That really isn't exciting. Just press a button, boom, your fused with your monster. You don't look different (I think you just have a glow on yourself), but you have better stats. I never really used it.

Crafting. I feel it's a waste of time. Why craft, when you can level?

PK. At level 45, cool, take revenge on people who messed around with you. It think it's like PK in FlyFF. You can kill someone, but if you do it a lot of time, you'll get punished.

Yeah, I can't really say anything because I didn't get to midlevel.

What's the difference between OB and official release?

This is why you fail.

Bleh. I used fusing too. I still died. Do I still fail?

Hraesvelg 06-24-2009 02:44 AM

Were you trying to solo the dungeons? I could that except for the bosses. You get a group with you and it's a cakewalk.

I solo'd the dungeons, for the mobs. Bosses, I had a group. The 1st dungeon at level 15 still took a big chunk out of HP, even with a fused monster, with a group. I could never party with Mystics though.

Lirange 06-24-2009 02:49 AM

eh, thats too low of a lvl to solo it
to solo dungeons, you should at least be 5 lvls above the min
so d1 is soloable at lvl 20, d2 at lvl 30

Generic, recycled UI... quest grind galore with repeatable quests on same mobs over n over. Dungeons are simple with few trash mobs n lame bosses. I wouldnt consider classes content. Pets are nice as every class gets one..

and yes loveless, you can say a game lacks content even if you have not DL'ed it... let alone played it.

In conclusion, its PW/ and jade dynasty re-skinned in a stupid cartoon.

Lirange 06-25-2009 06:15 PM

of course, personall opinion again
but i'd say for people who haven't played it yet, at least try it, then see if you like it.

Fighterboy 06-25-2009 07:23 PM

It sounds like fun... And kirby ima be a dragoon they're like fighters :)

kirbysprite 06-25-2009 08:49 PM

Dragoons are like fighters except, you won't be able to tank until 35 (I think the mock skill is level 35).

They say that Shamans are better tanks anyway.

Fighterboy 06-25-2009 11:20 PM

Oh then i might be shaman because on the eso website they said dragoons are primary tankers and shamans are secondary tankers. I just might make one of both.

pigspark 06-26-2009 01:25 PM

Whts ESO?

Lirange 06-26-2009 06:20 PM

ether saga online
eso.perfectworld.com

Fighterboy 06-27-2009 08:30 PM

Im downloading now :)

Woo finished installing.

Loveless 06-28-2009 05:31 AM

Please do not double post and use the edit. It's not MoS.

In this game the taunt skill has mediocre effect. I, as a Ranger, can still pull aggro with my combo. The best way to keep aggro is to do the most damage so you'd want, at the least, nicely upgraded weapons.

Essentially any class can 'tank' as long as they have enough HP. Defense only really plays a role if you're out on the map aoe grinding. The bosses require you to have a crap load of HP instead to cushion the hits. Hopefully in the upcoming patches they'll have it so that dragoons are much more capable of tanking because not everyone will spend hundreds of cs items for normal gameplay.

---

Shaman is a great class. It's tricky though. A lot of people seem to think they're useless. But they are able to heal overtime and cast buffs that reduce enemy damage as well as increase critical hit rate for others. If you learn how to use it it can be a pretty powerful class. And heck, I can even kite with a shaman too. ;)

Fighterboy 06-28-2009 02:03 PM

Awesome right now i have a dragoon and shaman made. Been playing dragoon only though. When one gets to 10 ill get the other to 10.
