New Forum Game Idea
 

Well i have a new idea for a new forum game. But i would like your feedback on it. Well its based on another forum game and a reality tv game show. So it will be like a forum reality game? Well i won't go into much details, because there is a lot, will just give your a brief explanation of what it is and see if anyone is interested.

Well there will be teams, and everyday there will be a challenge, the losing team will vote 2 or 3 people to go into elimination and the winning team will have to eliminate one. The game ends when one person wins the whole game. Now this game will take a lot of strategy, which i know many of you are a big fan of. If you are interested please do say so. And if you want me to go into more detail then just ask.

Now there is another forum game, so if people do want to play this game then there will be 3 options on how to play between them.
1. Play both at the same time
2. Stop playing legals and humans, and play this instead
3. Alternate between the two games.

I can do any of the options.

well when i made the post i was going to go into full detail, but i made 3 paragraphs already and still had more to tellxD
well uhhm.. everyone will have effort points. And each challenge they will have to tell me how many points they want to put into the challenge. The winning team will be the team who put the most effort into the game and yea.

here, i'll tell you about the first day
well the first day, there will be no teams. Everyones effort points will be given out, and you will have to decide how many points to put into the challenge. The 2 people with most points will be team captains and will choose who to be on their team. But the game will start with an odd number, so someone will be eliminated. But because i dont want anyones feelings to get hurt, once there are 3 people left, i will choose them randomly for each player using the hat. Oh and the team captains will have to pm me with a list of who they want on their team the most to the least.

How do you complete the challenge?

well there will be a list, and the number 1 winner gets to choose first, and if a player is chosen then it will be the next person.

also, players will be able to pm each other about the game
so people can make secret alliances
they can be in their team, or can be in the other team.
And every round there will be a new team captain so you have to choose who's the captain each game. And it is the captains duty to eliminate someone.
and some people will have more effort points then other people.

Well, Legals and Humans is sorta complicated in theory but I managed to understand most of it from the description before the first game.

we all get points
each challenge we decide how much points to use
the team with most points wins
the losing team, will lose a team member
simple enough? x]

Perhaps do an example with a challenge you might actually consider using.

okay, i will show you what the first day might look like

fiestans arrive at elderine. blah blah, they are blah blah. they're first challenge is to see who can stand on top of a slime the longest. blah falls off first. blehs next. so on so on. blah is the winner. blah is the runner up winner. they are now team captains. blah and blah sends me a list of who they want on their team from top to first. after i get the list i say blah is on blah's team. blah is on blah's team. 2 left, suspense, blahs is on blahs team. that means blahs is eliminated.

We only get a limited amount of effort points for the entire round right? Sounds a bit like a resource management game.

How do we.. stand on top of a hill on the forum?

I just cant get my head around the challenges... it'll be all just talk?

It's like this. There's two teams of 5 players let's say. The hypothetical challenge is to kill a mushroom. Each player might have 20 effort points the entire round, which means 100 effort points each team. You will tell Lirange how many effort points you put into this challenge as individuals. A thread will probably be open for people to discuss their potential choices.

Team 1 (each player has 20 effort points)
player 1 - I put in 2 effort points
player 2 - I put in 0 effort points
player 3 - I put in 10 effort points
player 4 - I put in 9 effort points
player 5 - I put in 1 effortpoint

Overall effort points used - 22

Team 2 goes through the same thing, but their overall effort points is only 5.

Team 1 vs Team 2 = 22 vs 5.

22 is higher therefore Team 1 wins the first challenge and gets the right to eliminate players. Team 2 only wins the right to nominate who they think should be up for elimination, so they will pick 2 out of 5 individuals for this. They might pick based on who put more effort in the last round, or who has more effort points available to spend. Up to them.

Now Team 1 has 100-22 = 78 points overall to spend for the other rounds. Team 2 has 95 points overall to spend left. So while team 2 might have lost the challenge they have more effort points left for later challenges.


This is the framework of the game, Lirange might have other limitations or interesting things to add to it.

But it sounds like fun. I think I'd give it a go if you're gonna have one up and running. Though I think I'll get confused about the maths during the game.

And plss noo involve in-game.. or I might not be able to play it xD

and yea, i guess we wont have it ingame, wont have enough people on at the same time.
and you can create like alliances with other people, so that way, they wont vote you off or if they are captain and you are up for elimination they wont eliminate you.
But i don't think theres enough people interested in this game=/
