Okay I was bored of soloing, so I decide to work on my gargoyle license. As I walk into Swamp of Dawn from Abestoils Ruins I shout for a party. Nobody answers...I keep riding hoping to find a party when I get there. Then a cleric whispers me "What class are you?" I tell him archer, and he say "srry need a mage"._. I get to the garg spot and find out its a cleric by himself, and he refuses to party me...

Whats wrong with having an archer...dont wanna pt..ill kite everything then ^^

We're archers man, almost everywhere we go, all we get is rejection >_> I'm already used to the... Neglect. Or, idk how to put it in another way ._.

I mean like, there's only one person that likes partying with me in FM, and maybe some other guildies, but just for the sake of being guildies, and filling in empty party slots.

And well, maybe not just in FM..

It's the other way around for me.. a fighter spammed me with party invite in Abyss.. and i said "I don't need a party" and he said "but I do"

omg they're nuts i love archers o.o they get stuff done so fast .-. i'd party with an archer over a mage any day.

Archers are great, ima fighter, but it nice, when all the monsters are posioned, it's great. Any extra damage is a great bonus.

Yea I know we got alot of good stuff, and I also know mages and kill faster in some situations. What really got me really mad was that he had no other option...unless he wanted to solo slowly...but no he would not party an ichy little archer...

So I took the whole area kiting, and even after that he did not ask for a party. He rather leave than party me...Srsly first time this happened to me in a long time.

I dont mind if your ugly, as i have told you before, im not proud and would be happy to pt with you.

The only thing that bothers me about archers is their tendency to not pick up drops and not stop long enough for me to catch them for a heal.

I dont like to use follow because then i end up losing the drops too and yes, i will go back for a drop if it is somthing i use which is about everything. zig zaging will help me to catch up.

In those situations once I see the first xp I run in circles so the drops dont spread out as much...That is if I dont die in 2 secs.

If a cleric wants something explain what you want and not just diss me like that. I picked up everything from the gargs since I could take some hits run back on the same line of dead mobs. There is always a solution to any problem, but the cleric wouldnt even try. There is no shame in failure, only in quitting.

The pull method at gargoyles calls for a mage. You either stand at the bottom of the hill, send the tank to get their portion, and the mage(s) aoe's them and they're down. Or you stand at the top of the hill and have two people pull constantly o: I don't think archers are useless there, but yeah, mages are once again, more in demand.

Ya i know...but he didnt even give me a chance to party and get a trio going on. Would have gladly gotten a mage in guild doing the lic and we could pull both sides...Q.Q

SoD still gots some partys where Archers can shine such as Mudmen, but its starting to be a Mage world again...Nuuuu!!

I used to like being mage, but then I got lvl 38 and figured out Str isnt as good as it looks like =3
I went full STR cuz it looked pretty back then =3
I was nub ;-;

I r archer now and loads want to pty since not alot of archers on our server ._.

Same thing happened the other day in Forest of Mist. i was lvl 21 pure DEX archer and some1 shouted that they need help with Boogy Knight. I decided i would help the poor little Mage. but when i pt invite, he asked what class i was and wat build. i filled him in and he said:
1. I hate archeres
2. Dex build sucks

I still remember the first time that I partied with an AOE archer... on my cleric

We were level 68-ish.. was doing the Greenky quest.. she was kiting through stuff and i was like hey that's pretty cool, thank god for heal and run~

but it wasnt until she took me to lvl 68 abyss and she kite though the room and i got like 7% in an hr.. (by myself i only get 1% an hr =.=)

I almost felt redundant coz she doesn't get hit much..

That's when I realise the true strength of archers...

Well I am sure glad there has been positive reviews of the archer class. It seems like they are the best PvE class correct? Glad I picked it =)

I like archers. I want to level mine but I'm too lazy. xD

I think they're the best PVE class to solo...

My mage does kill faster than my archer, but my mage cannot go without a cleric...

But my archer... Solo any day... 100% ALL MINE! :devil:

I think that depending on your class , it's not useful to party with an archer. Don't get me wrong, I love archers and many of my friends -whom I party with regularly- are archers. However, questing with them as a mage, can be difficult since we both have low def and will not resist too much as tanks.

Nonetheless, when I'm with a fighter character I don't mind having archers around, that poison thing they do is da bomb!

i agree its true we must be ugly...NOT we just dont get enough credit for what we do as archers

I guess maybe they don't need you. or you can help them, so they did not want to party you. But i think if they do that , you can work alone. You are an archer. Be confident.
