Guess I shall start.
'buff plz.' God how I hate those words. Scratch that, one and a half words. I am barely a level 26 Cleric and I already get bugged for buffs. I usually ignore the 'buff plz.' If I'm lucky, they will spam me with whispers! Wee! I simply reply, in a full sentence: "I am sorry, I am not that high level and do not have any buffs to give you." ...

WHAT THE HELL? Seriously? Are people that thick headed? I miss the times when no meant no and people had no clue what 'u' or 'y' meant. And oh, how I love to get a 'heal me'.
That isn't asking. It is demanding. Adding a question mark would have been asking. But no, he demanded. So I run off, ignoring him. Then he actually takes time out of his busy grind schedule to follow me. Oh how I wish to castrate him. I heal him and he runs away. I guess that wasn't too hard. Well, here I go to do my quests. Lalala. Oh look, a party invite from him. Refuse. Back to quests. Lalala. Oh look, another. Refuse. Another. Refuse. Another. REFUSE DAMNIT. Then I whisper not so nice words to him. Why is it that now days, people can't feel safe by themselves? What did people do before Clerics even came along? THEY USED THERE OWN MEANS OF SURVIVAL. I have played a game where there was no healer or pots you could buy. Wanna know how many times I died? Ten at most. Not that shocking? I was a level 50 mage. Mages are squishy. Now be shocked. You do not, I repeat, do NOT need Clerics to live. Sure, we help, but do not rely on us!!! It isn't smart to annoy us either. Every Cleric you piss off is one heal or buff you won't get in the future. Sucks to be you.

Now, lets move on to KQs. Remember, I am only 26. I would LOVE to hear some of the higher level Clerics rant.

KQs. Kingdom Quests. I like them. Small group to work with, nice EXP and drops. But the idiots. Oh the idiots. It is hard work being a Cleric in a KQ. I mean, everyone is running ahead, some are staying back. It is hard to heal everyone. I only heal my party. Screw everyone else. My main priority is me and my party. They are the ones getting EXP for me, not everyone else. Usually, I am the only Cleric involved in a KQ, So I frequently get 'HEAL' or 'CLERIC HEAL MEH.' I don't unless they are in my party. Sorry. Oh well. Then they die. Of course, I revive them. I won't just let them sit there. We do need to finish, after all. I revive them. And what do I get? "dum nub cleric lern 2 heel"

That sums just about everything quite nicely. lol

You know what.. I don't think it's "thick in the head".. more like.. too dumb to understand what full sentences are... Next time try "can't" and often they just go away XD

And yes.. KQ... Just yesterday some archer is trying to teach me how to heal... I had two people taking hits, so I heal --> rejuv --> heal... keeping them both alive...

And he said to me "You should heal before you rejuv" HEY DUDE This is how the skills work.. Heal --> rejuv --> heal, just because you didn't see how i casted ALL my skills coz i'm too fast for you doesn't mean I'm not doing it right..

And the most important thing of all is.. YOU'RE STILL ALIVE BECAUSE OF ME

But if you don't think I can do a good enough job then.. fine..

I quit their party and went with a tank instead. SUCK THAT!

I like the plp that come up to me and just say "buff"

I respond with "no thanks, I have one."

I enjoy making buff runs through FOM and SOG and the other areas where you are unlikely to find post buff clerics but I aviod going by shultan in eldy because I get spammed with "buff plz" there.

There are many that make respectful requests, some that will make a respectful request when you explain how, and there are the others.

I was on my hobby in Uruga... riding (slowly =.=) to TR... and some girl followed me on her hobby saying "buff plz"

HELL NO I'm not gonna get off my hobby for you... It's slow enough as it is!

If I was on a cash shop mount I would probably get off for them...

last week i was in MD kq. i was healing the crap outta my party, as they were 4 fighters who all thought they should tank. then this other fighter from a different party called me a leecher! i have NEVER leeched a KQ in my life. i said "i didn't know healing people was leeching..." then i just ignored him then continued healing my party, while he went on about how i wasnt doing anything...

then MD jumped. he died. he asked me for a rev...

i said "sorry, im too busy leeching."

hehehehehe

also, another thing i hate... a lil nub came up to me in roumen and goes "HEAL" i said... "you can use a hp stone" ... she stands there for a minute then goes "hmmm what a cleric." and ran off. ....i definitely whispered her and gave her a piece of my mind. why should i waste my sp so she doesnt have to waste a stone?

as far as buffing goes... ive started doing this:

"buff" = no buff
"buff plz" (unless in kq, where im more lenient) = buff and no heal (unless im in a bad mood. then i treat it as "buff")
"buff please" = buff and heal
"may i please have a buff?" = buff, immune, and heal

OMG this thread makes me happy! I thought i was the only one <.<

FREAKING MARA KQ. Someone always goes EVERYONE RUN!!!! and im like NO NO!!!!! They ofcourse all run. By the time we got to the fakes, we were down to 10 people. A mage insists on using that mob skill and keeps running up to mara and dying, after the 5th one i gave up on rezing him, what for eh? HE wasnt much help to anyone. I love when people take like 2 damage then stand there saying HEAL OMG HEAL. Naturally i stand there like ._. and focus on healing the not so stupid people... After the fakes now someone ELSE goes EVERYONE RUN!!!! When we get to the boat we're down to 6 people :D And no tanks left mind you, because they ran ahead of me while i was trying to stay alive spamming pots/stones/and heals with an army of Clan Fighters wailing on me.
Then THEN we draw a fake, we meaning the moronic archers i'm left with and one other cleric. I have to draw aggro and run off the boat with it in an effort to try and save time because they dont seem to understand OMG LURE IT OFF AND I'LL REZ YOU!!! ANYWAY in the end it's me and the other cleric tanking because people are stupid and Clerics seem to be the only people with sense in KQs. We failed of course but atleast we got mara and nearly killed marlone, stupid timer ne?

OMG that sounds like a typical Mara KQ nowadays isnt it?

If it was just u and the other cleric to start off with, you'd probably have enough time to finish the KQ... i'm sure a lot of time was wasted reving people with pea brains!

heheh i love my cleric, but i only play on him when im duoing with a mage friend (RL friend). In a KQ thats a different story. so many people saying HEAL! while my party is dieing...dood, im so busy looking at my pt's hp that i forget about myself! LOL and the funny lone mage is the best always saying "No one knows how to rev :D" sure and you don't know how to stay alive. >_>

I find it kinda annoying that people harass you for buffs, even when you are a low level, I got harrassed by a person, even when I was a low level. :cries: Im only level 24 DX

KQ for a cleric is a busmans holiday. I spend 80% of the time watching party hp, another 5% figuring out who the tank is this time, 5% figuring out who is where and where i should be, and 5% following the chat, that leaves me with 5% to follow the action and figure out the plan. Of course, the party wants another 10%.

I am a lvl 46 cleric and been lvl 46 for a month. why? because i'v been stupid enough keep helping people lvl to 20. But it doesn't stop there. they then want to be 30 so i help them but they even say ty or anything they just leave.

I have finally decided that if they need help getting to lvl 20 then they should go to a different game and fill the servers up there with there stupidity.:devil:

now i can finally kill beasts in peace.:angel:

2 more levels, and you'll encounter the problem, buffing DX:arg:

1 level, first endure buff is at 47

Another thing that annoys me are people that will die half way back in the kq, force you to fight your way back to them (mara kq) to rez them only to learn that they still had their 2 hearts. ._. Or other Clerics that expect you to heal them as they attack the boss needlessly as they keep missing with their crappy hammer while healing everyone else and rezing archers/mages everytime the cooldown finishes <.<

Here's my rant for the day - I'm trying to set up a shop in Eldy before I go to work and occasionally get asked to buff. No big deal, I usually do. But this little jerk runs in front of me and goes 'BUFF'. I ignore and continue, and it now becomes 'BBBUUUUFFFFFFF!!!!!!!!!!'. I finish my shop and start the vend, and now the jerk whispers 'GET OUT HERE AND BUFF ME!!!'. I whisper back with a laugh, and then I get challenged by a level 26 fighter to go in the abyss and fight it out. I again laugh and tell him to come back in about 50 levels when we can enter the same abyss and we could talk about it. What a jerkwad!!!

LOL @ Helion! Actually, they can get into level 70 abyss with you.. tell them they're more than welcome, as long as they can get to uruga by themselves HAHA

Sometimes you wonder if people realise that if u're not nice then you'll never get your buff~ Force my fingers to click buff on you! I DARE YOU!


@Kitty - I don't bother going back for anyone that got left behind.. Generally they're not worth your time and effort and the risk of the rest of your party not hving a cleric..

I just... leave them there to rot...

Here is another cleric rant:

SC charms, because these charms apply as a % increase clerics, due to their low damage stats get less "bang for the buck" than other classes.

You could say that that is the downfall of the cleric, you can heal, but the attack sucks a lot,:arg:

Here's one for today...

We're in KKP, and there's 2 clerics in my party (me included), a mage and an archer...

Typically in a party like that, there's not much for the cleric to heal... except for when the DDers MC...

So this mage dude goes and stand right next to KKP copping all the jumps and stuff...

So I said to him "hey why do u stand so close to KKP?"

And he said "got a problem?"

I said "you get unnecessary hits"

And as soon as I said that he got smacked by a Templar AND KKP Jumps - and dies...

So i added "like that..."

Then he said "Well I thought we've got 2 clerics we'll be covered"

Erm.. no.. even if you have 20 clerics... if u die in 1 sec no one is gonna be able to save u...

that's the 2nd time that somene thinks they're invincible just coz there's 2 clerics in the party...

Plus.. with him moved back I can actually go in and do dmg too...

yep now that i'm almost lvl 50 i get way to many people asking for prtys and i get requests from other clerics at the same lvl that want me to heal them while i have a mob and they have one person. :arg: when i'm with an archer im happy to help. but when your a cleric asking for another cleric for help with your health when your the same lvl. your getting anything:devil::nahnah::arg:

lol! And here is another, lev 60 clerics asking for a buff!

I haven't had that one yet. I've gotten the reverse where much higher level clerics have given me the unasked for buff that is stronger than mine - I love it when it happens and have started giving those buffs out to fellow clerics.

There is a problem with doing that, when a cleric has an end buff higher than their own they can not refresh until it has timed out. That could happen at a bad time.

i asked a lvl 60 cleric to buff me once for a kq but then he asked me to buff him cause he said that he had no magic and that if he didn't have my buff he'd die even though he had like 2000 health:nahnah::hulksmash:

he could only be talking about the party buffs for which he had not purchased skills. sounds like a line of whooie to me.

Either they were trying to play a joke on your.. or you were talking to a mage...

Today's rant - I'm soloing as usual kicking the crap out of Lizard Knights when a fighter comes flying up needing to be healed from a poisoning. I heal her, buff her, and restore her hit points before I finish of the mob I was on. It drops the claw needed for the quest, and SHE grabs it before I could. Then she had the nerve to spam me with party requests and couldn't understand why I wouldn't party with her. WTF, really? I ended up heading to CP2 for a different quest just to get away from her. Someone else added to my list of people never to help out list.

How in the world could she grab it before you could if you killed it and it was right next to you?

She was standing right next to me when it dropped and had a quicker trigger finger I guess - I got a little distracted when the first party request popped up at the same time. With my old age, Alzheimers is rapidly approaching and it doesn't take too much to distract me.

You can't immediately pick something up if your not in the persons party. If you got the kill you should have about 10-15seconds to pick it up before she is allowed to. Unless she got the kill then she could have picked it up immediately.

Well, then there is a bug in the system, becaue she didn't attack but was able to pick it up right away - I don't know what else to tell you.

If thats the case she may not have intended to pick it up and u cant be sure she even got it.

Okay, this happened to me yesterday and it's not as bad as some of the stories on here but hey I'm new and I need posts :smile:

Well, I was levelling in one of the newb areas alone. Not in a party, no one there, nothing. And a bit later a mage came along. He ignored me and I ignored him and we both continued killing stuff for a while.

A bit later another mage came along. The first mage said hi to him and started talking a lot. Obviously the other mage was whispering, because mage #1 was the only one talking out loud. I just ignored them again and didn't get involved with them at all. I didn't even speak to them and they didn't speak to me.

Soon after, Mage #1 took on too many monsters than he could handle and he died. His friend left (probably to meet him in the city? I don't know).

I just continued levelling in the same spot.

Soon after, Mage #1 came back and went straight to me and said 'WHY DIDNT U HEAL ME?'

I was shocked. I told him I didn't know he wanted me to heal him and that I wasn't even talking to him.

And he replied 'U SHOULD HEAL IF YOU ARE A CLERIC YOU ****'

I teleported to Roumen after that because I am not good in situations like that. I realise now that being a Cleric is probably going to be a lot harder than any other of the jobs.

I just hope I can get through it!! :cries:

LOL that made me laugh~ Yes... once you've learnt that people have out of line expectations and that they can be ignored, your job will be much easier...

But that's the first I've heard that someone demands that they should've been healed out of nowhere...

Fiesta hasn't implemented the "Mind Reading" skill yet... unfortunately...
