I just started maplestory... who else plays???

I played a few years ago.

I've played and coded a private server for it. IMHO, not a game worth playing.

What do you mean you coded a private server? You made a private server? I think the game is kinda good, well it's good if it's your first MMO. I like it, since it's not turned based, but it does get repetitive though.

I know it may be not as good as MS, but my friends are playing it, and isn't that why we play MMO's? To play with friends?

I helped code a server emulator for the game.

... I played the official for awhile, probably the longest after Fiesta and ESO. Private ones, if you manage to find one that isn't overly corrupt, is probably fun for maybe a day or two.

Yeah, the community isn't horrible. The only reason I played for so long was because there were good people that held events and such. Used to play with the people on OnRPG; but once those good people started to quit I moved onto other games.

for me, its just hard to find actually decent players
