Private Guild Forums
 

Sorry if this has been brought up before...

So mods can see private guild forums. Are they SUPPOSED to be looking in them, though? I mean, they are called private.

I'm fairly sure only the Administrators can see all of the guild forums, not just regular mods. And yeah, they do need to pop in from time to time. You could be running some prostitution ring, heh.

Yup yup. Only admins can view private guild forums. Its a must.

Mods can not though.

Only Admins can look at them, and yes, we can if we want to.

Really? When did you see a mod in your forums?

Someone said this before.. a long long time ago and Entropy fixed it.

Mods aren't suppose to be able to. So, either you mean mod, as in admin, or.. i dunno o-o

It comes down to responsibility. Admins are tasked with being responsible with what goes on this site. If there are things of an illegal nature going on in the private forums, they have the responsibility to stop it. If you feel your privacy is of utmost importance, by all means, make your own site with private forums. They're fairly easy to set up.

Its not their forums. Its Entropy's but seeing as Entropy doesn't have a lot of time to be on here, he gave them the responsibility of keeping this place up and running.. and safe.

That was far from a lecture. I was reiterating why the admins reserve the right to view the private forums. It's a liability issue.

I didn't mean that they OWN it...they have the responsibility of running it. You're making me feel like you just want to argue with me? I got my question answered, end of the story. Can someone close this for me? o:

By all means, I think its fine that they have the rights to do anything on here..

But it almost seems to me like its OS' GM's peeking in on our Guild chats ig.

I guess its kind of like that but there's more legal issues with OS, so.. I dunno. OS.. that really is a must for them. Like.. more so than admins looking into guild forums.
