my aunt is running bitcomet right now. i'm trying to play luna. bitcomet sucks ass and for some reason uses more bandwidth than utorrent even when it's not really downlaoding anything. i asked her if amybe she could evne just limit her upload speed, that's all. SHE SAID NO. she said she'd be off in a couple minutes cause she was just grabbing stuff to download later. i've died three times in luna because of this shit and now my xp safety scroll is gone. i just fucking dced again. THAT BITCH IS GETTING HER FUCKING MAC ADDRESS FILTERED. I'M SO GOD DAMN TIRED OF THIS SHIT.

She'll probably get better download rates with a limited upload speed. If you have your uploads running at full tilt it'll choke the whole internet connection. Such n00bs.

That sucks.. even when I limit my upload to 5kbps (my cable only uploads 15kbps max) it still chokes the games... (if me and blah were both playing we'll both lag like hell...)

if you don't even limit it then there's no way you could play ur game properly...

And limiting your upload doesn't effect ur d/l speed... (down to a certain speed).. all the upload as much as you can and d/l as fast as you can are bs...

i'm making her download utorrent.

I remember when I had utorrent running once and I was seeding a torrent which I had completely forgot all about when I went to play Fiesta I couldn't figure out why I was getting tremendous lag took me almost 10 minutes to realize why. What I would do is allocate her half of your maximum download speed and 1 quarter of your upload speed so she can download her junk while you can play the game without lag. (This is generally what I do now so I can seed or download while playing a game)

Pull the internet plug on her comp? Lol.

She could just plug it back in so that's not gonna work..

I think they were suggesting that so it wasn't such a scorched earth policy. She might not even notice a bit of a throttle on her speeds, but she'll sure as shit know if she can't connect at all, heh. Most people try to avoid family drama, heh.

I should imagine Destrus to be one of those people that would reeeeeeally wanna do something harmful... but is just too kind to really pull it off.... keke

You only get one notheless. And this might sound obvious, but what stopped you from going to her comp and reduce her download settings? Or since you have router access, you can find out which port she is using for her downloads, and close it.
