Runner or Rider?
 

Which do you prefer?

When getting to your destination, you can run or ride. Riding means flying past all of the mobs and stone/potting as you get hit. Running is when you just fight your way there. Both have their ups and downs.

Am I the only person who prefers running? I guess maybe its a mage thing? I can't exactly ride through and hope I survive as easily as most people. Well.. thats if I aggro the monsters I ride through.

odd, i'm a pure end fighter and i still prefer running.

I detest people who pull trains. Riding is a perfect way to pull a train and i would hate to be a hypocrite.

If i train, I tend to lead it away from people.

I am also a fighter and prefer to run instead of ride. I hate when inconsiderate a-holes ride through with 20 mobs on their tail. That is the only time I wish I could PK.

So do I. I'd rather kill myself than a party >_< So I dodge people and if I can't, I turn around and just let myself die.

I really dislike riding. Everytime I'm with a party and we ride through AEW, I get the turn arounds of the mobs that caught on to the person in front of me, and Trumpy's can 2 hit KO me, I don't get much reaction time. And I can't lead.. cuz then I'll just get hit first and still die.

I do both, ride & run. It depends on the situation really, and if there are people in my way while riding; I yell at them to get out of the way or go around them. Hopefully the mobs don't bite them.

yeah it depends if i'm in a hurry HAHA I'll ride if i had to get back to town so i can log off for dinner or something... and i try to ride it on the edge so i aggro as lil a possible...

if not in a hurry... i usually ride half way.. if there's a party in front of me and a train behind me... i get off the rider and kill some of the mobs (and possibly get the party to help, usually they're happy to) then off i go again...

if there's only like 2 mobs after me i just ride through it keke... meh! the party of 5 can take on the 2 mobs kekekekeke (unless they're busy already of coz)

Hmm, I do both tho.

I ride. All the time. I even ride in town from NPC to NPC (if they are far away from each other, that is...), I hate walking. In game and in real life. XD!!

What? What are you talking about? Isn't this thread about whether you prefer to walk or ride a horse?

kinda =/ but not whether u're lazy and ride between shops..

more like do u ride a horse and let the train of mobs run into other ppl... or do u walk your way out of a map fighting your way through so u dont kill an innocent party...

Oh, I was just emphasizing on how much I prefer to use a rider.

Anyways, I've spent two precious silvers on getting a horse, so I use the most of it. Besides, I'm a cleric, and I kill way too slowly to fight my way through, so I prefer to use a horse since I can survive anyway. I admit I sometimes mob train people though. Then again, I always try to choose a less-mobbed path so I don't have too many following me. D:

I guess it just sucks how the mobs are designed so that as soon as their target becomes out of their reach, they turn to the closest victim afterwards. Why make them so smart for? xD

Omg, same. If I'm on the couch and have laptop on my lap (Uh, DUUHHH! XP), I'll go for hours without food just because I don't want to walk there!

I used to walk/ride equally, but I just got the Lv20 horse now (20 levels later! =D), and now I ride all the time. It uses hardly any Floaty-Horsey-Stones!

i ride, but i tend to keep out of the mob's radar most of the time, so so ride, i get there so much faster.

I guess I'll be the Antichrist of this thread.

I ride. No point on buying a mover if you don't use it.

Im not going to spend the time to kill every pirate and boogy to get to Burning Hill.
ill try not to get more than 1 or 2 monsters trailing me at a time because i hate people who get trains.
Lastly im a mage so if a try to ride i usually die unless its somwhere really weak.
im fine if anyone rides as long as they dont make massize trains that wipe everyone else out.

I'm always walking, anyway for me to save money I do. I'll ride when the CS mounts come into the game.
