Left Brain vs Right Brain

Many of you may have seen this before... but i'll post it anyway

The Right Brain vs Left Brain test ... do you see the dancer turning clockwise or anti-clockwise?

http://img143.imageshack.us/img143/4...htbrainki8.gif

If clockwise, then you use more of the right side of the brain and vice versa.

Most of us would see the dancer turning anti-clockwise though you can try to focus and change the direction; see if you can do it

LEFT BRAIN FUNCTIONS
uses logic
detail oriented
facts rule
words and language
present and past
math and science
can comprehend
knowing
acknowledges
order/pattern perception
knows object name
reality based
forms strategies
practical
safe

RIGHT BRAIN FUNCTIONS
uses feeling
"big picture" oriented
imagination rules
symbols and images
present and future
philosophy & religion
can "get it" (i.e. meaning)
believes
appreciates
spatial perception
knows object function
fantasy based
presents possibilities
impetuous
risk taking

Personally i see it spinning clickwise... but i also saw it going anticlockwise if i stare at it differently... (but i cant control it)

Ryoji 10-18-2007 04:23 AM

I can onl see it going clockwise:eek:But my roomate says he saw it anti-clockwise and than stated I'm on crack...

Hessah 10-18-2007 04:37 AM

yeah we're in fantasy... us right brain people kekeke

Ryoji 10-18-2007 04:39 AM

Yeppers, we are da best.

a.L 10-18-2007 06:38 AM

Clockwise for me.

Blaaaaaaaah 10-18-2007 06:51 AM

Clockwise for me too.

Clockwise wins.

a.L 10-18-2007 06:54 AM

The image is broken.

NavMan 10-18-2007 07:00 AM

its just pixels... u dirty-minded XD

Kiedo 10-18-2007 07:06 AM

It's not a real test, just an illusion. It's not spinning either way, it's an image going from side to side.

I see a small extension from the end of her breast. What else am I supposed to think?

Yosei 10-18-2007 07:18 AM

What happens if it kept going back and forth for me.. at first clock wise, then counter.

Huuuuuuuuuuuh?

Yosei 10-18-2007 07:20 AM

When I look at her head, shes going clockwise, but as I looked more towards her feet, I saw counter.

omg SAME!

Patches 10-18-2007 10:42 AM

I can see it going either way I want to. What does that mean?

Hessah 10-18-2007 11:55 AM

u hv a super brain... XD

Yosei 10-18-2007 03:48 PM

That must mean we all have super brains! lol

Pritcher 10-18-2007 04:35 PM

That's weird. Guess I'm right brained by default since she spins clockwise for me normally, but if I focus on the feet and the shadows on the bottom I can get it to switch directions, but then it's stuck going counterclockwise until I look away for a while.

Spirit 10-18-2007 05:35 PM

If everyone would go back and stare at her for more than a few seconds, she keeps changing directions. It has more to do with "when you look at her, how long you look at her, and what part of the cycle she is in."

I'll try to count how many times she goes around in each directions and edit my post.

Edit: I counted 50 spins in each direction, before I watched her change directions. Now I'm going to go blink about 100 times in a row.

Blaaaaaaaah 10-18-2007 11:36 PM

LOL No matter how much I stare at her, she's spinning clockwise for me all the time.

My left brain must be dead.

Enrei 10-18-2007 11:36 PM

It is just an illusion, she's spinning both ways.

HAHAHA that made me LOL

kt.. try shrink your firefox window, so you only see the top half of that dancer...

then u start thinking that it's going anticlockwise... then when u see it.. expand ur window to see the rest of the picture...

there.. i've activated your left brain again

Blaaaaaaaah 10-18-2007 11:58 PM

I tried doing that but it doesn't work. It's just going clockwise for me. Dx

Hessah 10-19-2007 12:07 AM

ok try strink the window more so u only see part of her head.. like 2/3 of her head...

stare..... and think..... may take a few more sec than 2 sec...

Blaaaaaaaah 10-19-2007 12:15 AM

NOO I DON'T WANT TO LOOK AT IT ANYMORE!

It's clockwise.

Hessah 10-19-2007 12:35 AM

ok ok..

Blah's left brain certified: 10.15am Sydney Time.

Bao 10-19-2007 12:47 AM

It's Anti-Clockwise for me, does that mean I'm special? LOL

Odin 10-19-2007 09:05 AM

wth anti clockwise... how can she go another way :/

Hessah 10-19-2007 10:12 AM

if i see her go anti clock wise by watching her head.. try watch her body for going clockwise? keke

Ryoji 10-19-2007 10:19 AM

I just tried to make her go anit clockwise and I failed it only goes clockwise for me

Enrei 10-19-2007 11:51 AM

Can't you see? She spins one way then the image flips and she spins the other way. This is just to trick you into thinking that she spins one way but rather spins both ways after a set amount of spins. If you need proof, I'll decompile the image to show that the image flips.

You're wrong. I've already given the answer but nobody cares.

Hessah 10-19-2007 01:03 PM

yeah we dont care.. LOL jk

this is just a thing that tells ppl.. wat you see.. isnt necessarily the truth of wat's there..

This is what I posted earlier, but if you have a better way to prove it, then go for it, however, I think it is like everyone keeps saying, they don't care. It is fun to discuss and drive Bla~ahs crazy....

Just for the hell of it I opened it up in Fireworks and it's just a gif with 34 frames. She does one revolution which takes about 1 second and then the gif repeats the same thing over and over.

lol sorry. Umm.. basically she never changes her movements at all. It's the same exact frames being replayed infinitely. She spins around once and it replays the same thing again when it gets back to the beginning.
