Am I looking at the wrong thing...

Or is a REAL copy of Photoshop CS4 really cost $700US?

Destrus 04-24-2009 06:00 AM

i wouldn't be surprised. i think i looked at the prices for some other adobe thing a few years back (might have been premiere) and it was over $1,000.

kirbysprite 04-24-2009 06:01 AM

You can just upgrade for $199, right? I see one on their website for...yep. $699.

Hessah 04-24-2009 06:02 AM

Ohh i thought its in the lower hundreds.....

We've got... nothing legit to upgrade from xD

Loveless 04-24-2009 06:06 AM

... It's good to be a student. I bought my Adobe collection for $300. <3

But yes, they do cost that much... :cries:

+Tequila+ 04-24-2009 06:08 AM

$180 isnt bad.. And I doubt we'll need all the functions in CS4 for wat we need anyway...

I just cant find the older version on the website.. maybe i'll look for some CD Format ones...

What do you mean? You're 7 years old?

Hessah 04-24-2009 06:18 AM

either I don't know how to use paint.net, or paint.net doesn't do wat I usually use photoshop for..

Photoshop has the magnetic selection tool, then the embross and drop shadows and outer glows... all those easy tick the box and looks pro type of options XD

kirbysprite 04-24-2009 06:19 AM

Actually, when I learned how to use Photoshop in my computers class, that made some things clear to me in Paint.NET, but it still doesn't have some features.

Loveless 04-24-2009 06:21 AM

CS4 just makes things easier... that's about it.

And kirby I think he meant Photoshop 7.

kirbysprite 04-24-2009 06:23 AM

Then what's Photoshop CS4? Did it downgrade or something?

*sorryimnoob*

Loveless 04-24-2009 06:24 AM

No, CS4 is the latest. It went from plain ol' Photoshop to the CS versions.

Hessah 04-24-2009 06:28 AM

I think I've used all the version from about 6... and I'm sitll doing the same thing... HAHAHA so an upgrade doesn't mean anything to me..

I'm just looking for a copy of Photoshop for.. someone that's not too great with computers... and they don't mind paying for a real copy... but for wat they use $700 is overpriced...

cillia 04-24-2009 06:35 AM

atm i have photoshop elements 3.0 and my trial for CS4 is about to run out Dx in the version i have ( elements 3.0 ) you cant change the way styles and such work.. and theres no magnetic selection tool and no pen tool ;~; theres alot of stuff thats nice about CS+ *o*

Hessah 04-24-2009 06:41 AM

Does the trial version last 1 month? Is that the only limitation?

Loveless 04-24-2009 06:43 AM

Yeah, I think that was the only limitation.

Lirange 04-24-2009 12:44 PM

i got mine from a friend,
but our computer got rebooted awhile back, so i'll need to get it back.

Yosei 04-24-2009 02:14 PM

A_Forever 04-24-2009 08:31 PM

Whats CS2/CS4? o:

Leesa 04-24-2009 08:45 PM

CS2 is 2 versions before the latest version of Photoshop, Photoshop CS4. With each version it comes with easier ways to work with it, more advanced features which almost no one uses, but mostly, more $$ to pay XD

Theres the old Photoshop which are just like Photoshop 1, Photoshop 2 etc.

Theres the Photoshop Elements, which are easier to use but don't have everything and are alot cheaper.

And theres CS, Photoshop CS, Photoshop CS2 and so on.. expensive, but easier to use and have more features x3

A_Forever 04-24-2009 08:49 PM

I meant.. what does CS stand for? Lol.

Nevermind though. Someone else told me.

Leesa 04-24-2009 08:50 PM

Oh... XD Yea what does CS stand for? >.>

A_Forever 04-24-2009 08:51 PM

Creative Suite.

Leesa 04-24-2009 08:52 PM

Oh... x.x
