He/she left out a lot of variables in the crunching, but I'd still be interested in seeing a full-SPR build in PvE. PvP isn't even a question. |

Archers are almost always Mage killers. SPR just makes them more so xD
@Blahs - was that the one about the Archer in BR who was full-SPR and did surprisingly high damage with AoEs? Still remember that thread. |

An archer with 30%+ crit is pretty scary when they AoE. But it's pretty hard to get up to that, especially without CS items. I wonder what PvP would be like. You would crit a lot, but the base damage isn't very high to begin with... >lvra I think I read that thread somewhere... was it about this archer who had like 4x% crit and outdamaged mages without her AoEs being empowered? Might be the same thread. Upto a point, Full-Str is better than the same in Spr, but that of course disregards all the ways you can now jack up your crit rate and that +9 weps double your damage. Something to consider. |
also, didnt they add like, a half a second stun for crits? couldnt that help in interupting an enemy attack while kiting, in theory?

Yes, but it might interupt an attack if the enemy's in the middle of attempting to attack

The chances of that are slim to none. In PVP, the stun literally does do jack.
The only way the stun is the least bit helpful is if you can consecutively crit 2, 3 or more times the same monster in a row. |
And with pure spirit and CS items, would you not possibly be able to do just that? Anything past 50% seems to have a really good chance at near full crits.

i meant for it to be about mobs, i guess it sounded as if i was talking about pvp since we just came out of discussing the mage-killer-ness of pure spirit... sorry x.x
