A Bot!
Yes, a bot. It will have access to everything in the wiki as its tentacles of power, and it will have lots of solid data as its foundation.
The question is, what should it be made to do? Bear in mind that bots do recursive and/or repetitive tasks; this makes them very good at pulling data off tables and updating tables, but they are very very awful at comprehension. The following are what the bot will potentially do:
|
Make it search for Sarah Connor.
I can't really think of anything that would be useful. Now, if it were able to pull info from shop data, that would be great. The only way I can think for that to work right now (aside from having an in-game bot run around town and check prices) would be on the honor system, having people enter what they're selling items for. Then the bot could average prices and help even-out the economy. That's probably a bit ambitious at this point, though. |
Fix Triumph's spelling errors? :cheeky:

This is do-able, but it will not be part of the wiki. |
Is the wiki asking anyone else to download something before they can edit a page? I posted up somewhere, But i think it's the bot's doing.
|
The bot makes edits just like a regular user. The only difference is it interacts with the wiki in a different way, because it's hosted on the same server as the wiki. It will certainly never push you files... Plus I've yet to write the script for it.
I am not able to replicate your problem. |

Because it's starting to annoy me. Update: Do you want to Save this file? Or search the program on the internet? Name: Index.php Type: Unknown File Type From: www.FiestaFan.com It could be a number of things, but my best guess is a homebrewed failure. Keylogger/Trojan or a setup for a useless XSS attack. |
This only happens when the server fails to send the entire header first on load of the page. File extensions do not matter in URL. I think it's your browser misinterpreting the headers. Use another browser class.
|
I agree. A php file shouldn't trigger a download.

In any case, I'll try it on a donkey comp. Maybe it's friendly, Or maybe it's something wickedly nasty. I was planning on making a fighters guide from the higher-then-noob levels, Too..... Guess i'll try it later. |
Well, I tried on Internet Explorer AND Firefox
Same thing for both, Here's the one for Firefox http://i455.photobucket.com/albums/q...yx/y54y45y.jpg |
I'd change "Open With..." to Firefox and then "Do this automatically." Do other sites that use php open up like that?
|
No, Never, it just started today, Around about.... 1:00
Tried opening with Firefox, it opened a blank webpage and that's it, When i closed it and clicked edit again, The same prompt came up, I ended up saving it, And once again, nothing happened, It keeps prompting me. |
Fixed it, had something to do with the way i had my Wiki account formatted, Though i wonder why it went through all that trouble?
In any case, It works now. |
