mmmm width wise, I guess yeah. Bummer. Do the forums trim the images because it doesnt show up that big in the signature.

My other signatures, trust me, are much smaller. This one just turned out larger than the others for some odd reason.

Amber_Bamber 04-05-2009 02:08 AM

n___n its pretty good for 'sucking at making signatures' XD

Mindspank 04-05-2009 02:46 AM

Well it sucks because all it is is an image and thats it. Just a raw image, cropped with text. Nothing stylized, no fancy textures or borders, Its just an image and text. I guess its really old school cause when I hung out on forums in like 99, that style was pretty popular. Nowadays if it doesnt have at least 7 layers its a crap siggy. I dunno I guess im just tossing it out there to see what happens.

Amber_Bamber 04-05-2009 03:05 AM

xD we all start out somewhere n_n

Jikanu 04-05-2009 03:46 AM

*Shrugs* it's not bad at all. far better than anything i could do, hence my text based siggies XD

Complexity can be nice, but I think simple sigs are the best.

cillia 04-05-2009 04:06 AM

lulz @ 7 layers thing XD almost all of my sigs have at the most 7 layers. at the MOST ... but thats probably because i dont make adjustment layer things or w/e. XD

:O what program do you use? :3

and btw XD that alot better than when i sucked at sigs. like. yeah... i REALLY failed. XD you dun even KNOW how much i failed... like that one time blah blah blah blah blah ramble ramble ramble.......

Ivramire 04-05-2009 04:42 AM

Not all bad for a first try.

In fact, it you put some kind of border, resized it and adjusted the text, it might turn out well.

Lady-Loki 04-05-2009 04:45 AM

I think it is a good siggy.

Mindspank 04-05-2009 05:40 AM

Borders escape me. I wanted just to have a simple black border, thin. Like when you view it in photoshop, how it adds a black border, really thin. I wanted that on the finished, but I dont know how and im too lazy to read through my photoshop books to find out and too emberassed to ask anyone so I just use it as is.

I use photoshop CS2.

I need to make the image smaller but I like the text size.

Ivramire 04-05-2009 05:42 AM

On second thought, the fade effect @ far right is actually nice with the text. Might not need a border, though a different font and placement might help things =)

To make thin, even 1px borders, what I do is make a new layer, select the whole image, go to Edit and then go to Stoke, make it 1px, black color, and set it to inside and it makes a nice border x3

Hazu 04-05-2009 08:52 PM

It looks nice though imo it would look a bit better with a border but that's me.
<3 the text andhow it legible and not gaudy looking x3 I likey your siggeh~
