They are money driven, but not nearly as much as Outspark.

Practically every item is permanent. A bit expensive, but permanent.

I'd prefer to get something like the Wheel of Fire for travel purposes. The mounts don't give any sort of combat boost other than walking speed, right?

Mounts enable your travel speed, but fighting on them allows you to kite much easier. That 1 m/s difference is rather huge.

If Monkey had that, she would not have been flattened by Master Crabbins.

Hmm, makes sense. I should probably kite more often, but I'm a lazy gamer, especially with the healer pets.

I'll let you kite, while I spam my healer's heal. Unless there's a button to make it autoheal you instead of me. :laugh:
