Poison, resistance & cure...
OK I never really bothered trying to understand all the different types of period dmg coz I was a cleric and cleric cures all!
But... now I'm an archer... and.. it's driving me mad... during the bats / prisoners / torturer phase... So my question is, which potion cures and resist which disease...? Poison - Bleeding / Periodic Dmg - Illness - All the antibiotic, antitoxin, cure, antidote etc confuses me... |
Poison - Antidote (immediate cure) | Antitoxin (resistance buff)
[Bats] Bleeding - only clerics can cure this shiz [Kara. Soldiers] Illness/Disease - Cure (immediate cure) | Antibiotic (resistance buff) [Prisoners and Torturers] |
If it turns you green - Antidotes gets rid of it.
If it turns you blackish - Cure gets rid of it. If you do not change colors - Divine Magic scrolls get rid of it (have not confirmed). Also heard that Divine Magic scrolls take away the "blue" (slow) illness. Of course a cleric can cure all of it. |

I tried t3 DM on the slow curse (not illness) from niad souls (i think they were) just outside the cp2 gate while doing bright bat hair quest. Did not help a bit. The slowdown curse is the only one that is a real pain and mages have a buff to remove it. There are also bless potions to increase your curse resistance. Illness, poison, and curse resist potions do help a bit but unless you make them yourself they are not worth the cost and don't sell well. The same is true for divine magic scrolls. Any good cleric around will cure you even if not in your party so long as you have not been messing with them, and the curses (red), other than slowdown, are only a small nusance. |
In OB it seems I remember clerics being able to cure the periodic bleeding illness.
But, that was a long time ago and I may be remembering wrong. But, yeah, meant to add that mages cure the blue disease. But, the DM scrolls also cure that. |
Only a cleric can cure bleeding, no potion or scroll will do that.
|
BOOOOOOOO I was trying to look for a potion that cures my bleeding! I guess that confirms there's nothing I can do.... except for bring a cleric along...
Thanks guys! And a side note: the ONLY bleeding that a mage can cure is the one from skeleton knight... |
Mage can cure bleedings from that thing? o-o
|
mages can also cure immobilize, I'm pretty sure. & slowness.
clerics can heal the green and the blackish. lawl. :c |
Really? I've never tried curing immobilize, but I'll try it next time.
I just hate the bug/glitch with immobilize right now. ~_~ |
I hate it too,
But I think they can cure immobilize o_o; |
Mages can cure all types of fighter debuffs. They might be able to cure debuffs from other mages, not sure. I know fear and stun can't be debuffed. Mages can also dispell aoe poison (mist)
Clerics can cure all archer poison debuffs, except for aoe poison (mist). |
Clerics cant cure the poison but mages can?!
That's weird... |
^Found that out when FBZs first came out 8D
They had a bug that made even party-mate's AoEs hit you, so pretty much everyone was a nice shade of violent green. |

Poison= t1, t2, t3, t4, Clerics can cure, Antidotes,
Curse= Evasion, block rate, speed, etc. Dispell, scrolls Periodic bleeding damage,= Clerics can cure. They all come in worse forms, Like the famous speed decrease 50% (4 mins) |
You can have 4 types of ailments
Poison - (turns you green) – Antidote potion or a cleric. Illness – (turns you blackish) - Cure potion or a cleric. Curse – (turns you red or blue) - Divine Magic scroll or a mage. Periodic Bleeding (you do not change colors) – Only a cleric. Hessah is a mage without a cleric, sometimes. She needs to know what she can carry in her pocket to stop these ailments without having a cleric present. |
^ She's talking about her archer, which can't cure anything, LOL.
And I tried dispelling that immobilize thing, it worked! xD! But sometimes I accidentally click on the map when I'm immobilized, and I get glitched... so I wasn't able to dispel myself... LOL. |
Yeah my stupid archer is at at stage where every quest kills that she needs make her pop out dmg!!
And i've got a whole bunch of cure / resist potions from my main.. and nothing seemed to work, so I wondered if I was using the wrong potion or wrong Tier.. but I guess there's just no cure to bleeding... need a bandage... |

Mages can displell immobilize, as in the tangle of bushes immobilize? I don't know if it was intended or a glitch but I have found that so long as you don't change your focus while immobilized you can do anything except move. If you complete a kill and are still immobilized as an archer or figther, there is not much you can do anyway. As a cleric however, so long as you do not change your focus you can continue to heal yourself until the time out. If Mages can displell immobilize, as in the tangle of bushes immobilize, can they do it for others? Clerics and mages are the only classes that have buffs to impact other players. Clerics use theirs a lot, mages (in my experience) do not with few exceptions. While doing bright bat hair in cp1 I throw buffs, heals, and cures around. Rarely has a mage dispelled the slow down for me even when partied. I'm doing lizard mud right now where the elven trees have immobilize and was there with a mage last night and no dispells. Oh well, at least he was not mind tapping! |
At the moment, yes a mage can dispel entangle (immobilize) for themselves or others...
Quote:
one thing you must not do while u're entangled is try click and move... as soon as u tried to move you're effectively "stunned"... but yeah i hope they fix that soon coz its annoying LOL |

But I'm pretty sure you can change targets during immobilize as long as you're not trying to move. |
