i just realised.. i AFKed in Teva Elderine with shout mode on...

and i didnt see any spams!

hv they done something about it?

Was it the patch? You know how there was supposed to be that level 6+ requirement to shout or something... But wait, was there a patch? D:

my game didnt update... i hv no idea ... that's why i'm asking i guess haha

yeah they put the patch in during the last downtime.

Edit: The bots ain't gone. They're now advertising in Normal Chat. At least it ain't in Shout anymore.

Maybe they should do what they did to shout to normal chat. Raise the level to require to talk to maybe around lv. 3?

You cant really do that since there are alot of new players that usually ask for help at lvls 1-3. By not allowing them to talk, it could make some new players quit because they couldn't get any help

Then noobies won't be irritating and ask.
"How do I talk?"
"How do I shout?"
"Where to start the tutorial quest?"
"I have a +10 broadsword. I sell you 10s you want?"

Yeah, there are alot of noobs who just act like morons. But for some, this may be there first MMO and they might need help. If they cant talk, they cant get help. But, every MMO I've played, I've just figured it out on my own.

There could be a separate chat for new people who might need help. Or they could just come here:)

Or maybe they could read what it says on the loading screen and press F10 in game.

Yea I guess. But they should really read the help that the game itself gives. At the very most ask on the forums but it just keeps annoying me when stupid people who think I'm a noob come up to me and go

Shoo, when teva was down and tevanians flooded apoline. GM mistwhateverhisnameis broadcast whoever from teva spammed will be banned from both servers. So why don't they do that? Or is it too big of a job to do that?

Maybe they could just make it so you get kicked if you spam the same message over and over in a certain amount of time.

Not possible. Whenever you get items, whether from KQ box or by trade, they always go into a separate slot even if you have an existing stack with room. They must be manually merged into the existing stack yourself.

Well getting to level 3 isn't that hard. And I'd think if they try to speak, a little notice in the chat box appears as "You must reach level 3 to do that." It reminds me of the game, Scions of Fate in which they did that to prevent most gold advertisements.

Yea it isn't hard at all. Just kill a few slimes and boom lvl 3.

That it did. But really, ites really easy to level to ten even. Mabey an hour or two.

No need. 1/2 an hour can already. 1-5 10 minutes. 5 - 11 20 minutes in KQ.

They could try and limit amount of shouts per minute. Or something of that sort.

Of course it's easy to get to level - and that is only for people who are actually experienced with MMORPG type of games.

Think about it. There are people out there who probably never played these type of games before, and Fiesta could be their first game. Not letting them talk when they really need the help? That's mean to them. If I started playing a game in which I'm clueless in, and finds out that I can't even talk to get some help, I'd stop playing that game instantly.

New players that walk into roumen thats filled with Bot spammers will get a VERY BAD impression and leave...
If anything its dementing the growth of the playerbase as well as the economy.

Well, since it's so easy to get to level three, I'm sure the bots can get to level three rather easily themselves and then continue spamming anyway.

I'd say that if they really implemented that no talking till level 3 function, they might actually go and level it. They're not levelling to 6 because they still have a way to advertise via normal chat box. Of course, I could be wrong. I guess it all depends on how desperate they are.

OT: Imo, the patch was bad. When I make scrolls now, I have to sit and watch this level 1 spam normal chat at 2x the speed about some obscure gold farming site.

And their grammar was (is?) terrible.
