Beginning March 31, 2009, new Outspark accounts created by residents of the European Union and the Philippines will be unable to play Fiesta. European countries affected include Germany, Austria, the Netherlands, Belgium, United Kingdom, Ireland, France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Poland, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Switzerland and Turkey.

What does this mean? If you reside in one of the aforementioned countries and create an Outspark.com account on or after March 31, 2009, you will be unable to login to Fiesta. You may, however, enjoy other Outspark games.

Please be aware that this change only applies to NEW accounts. Residents of the European Union and the Philippines who created an Outspark account prior to March 31, 2009 will NOT be affected and may continue to enjoy Fiesta when using these accounts.

Thank you,
-Outspark Staff.

Not as bad as I thought it would be when I read the title.

At least the "old" members get to stay.

Blaaaaaaaah 03-18-2009 06:24 AM

Haha yeah, I was wondering why I haven't heard any rages yet. I guess there isn't anything to rage about, really... no loss for those who has played for a long time.

Ivramire 03-18-2009 06:32 AM

I thought they did this a long time ago...

Stormhand77 03-18-2009 06:35 AM

Blaaaaaaaah 03-18-2009 06:43 AM

^ No, it is because Gamigo hosts the Europe version of Outspark, and people from those areas should be playing Gamigo's version.

FutureKnight 03-18-2009 06:50 AM

I think the last IP blocks focused on Asian countries.

Hessah 03-18-2009 11:24 AM

Didnt the block for Asian happen at the beginning of open beta? before the cash shops?

a.L 03-18-2009 11:25 AM

I don't remember... :/

Sparkeh 03-18-2009 12:32 PM

Asians blocked? @.@

I live in asia >.>...Didnt get blocked at all :cutielove:

and why dont they just make 2 OS's korean and american?......?

Zwivix 03-18-2009 12:58 PM

Better than the last EU block they had where they wanted to block existing accounts too. Good job OS learned to negotiate the licenses with others.

^Because different companies hold the license for Fiesta in different regions. Outspark only has North America. Back then Phillipinos and Europeans didnt have their own version,so now that they do OS has to stop intruding on their licensed region.

Senyx The Soulless one 03-18-2009 01:26 PM

Well there can only be a few reasons as to why they are doing this.

1. They just want an excuse to make more people download Fiesta EU
2. They want more different types of money @_@
3. They dunno why they even did this.

Ivramire 03-18-2009 02:18 PM

^Doesn't make any sense.

It's because the other licencers of Fiesta are making them ban new users from their regions.

But . . . it doesn't take effect until March 31 so if you have friends you want in, tell them to sign up real fast.

Outspark wouldn't want to send their customers to Gamigo(EU fiesta) o.O But they have to.

Its just simple... Outspark had the North American rights, but there were no companies that owned the license to other regions, so Outspark was able to allow multiple regions to access this version. But when other companies, such as Gamigo, published their own version of Fiesta, they got the rights to their own region, such as Europe. Outspark does not have the rights to Europe, so they have to block it so that people can't access this version, so that the people in w/e region can be directed to the correct one, and purely because, they just don't own the rights to that area, they have no business there. This is all directed from the big man, Onsonsoft, the developers of Fiesta.

But since Outspark already owns many European/Filipino accounts, they cannot block those accounts. So they have blocked people in those regions from making new accounts.

Lone_Wolf 03-18-2009 03:33 PM

Weird, same message on gamigo forums, but erm tboth were supposed to do this half a year ago.

remember OS being really jackasses about it.

Kaidela 03-18-2009 06:33 PM

Lol, I saw the title and assumed the worst... I'm glad it's only new accounts. And tbh, this is probably a good thing.

Sparkeh 03-18-2009 06:36 PM

Wait so accounts dont get affect unless someone signed up on April 1...he cant play? @.@

Yosei nice siggy <3!! -steals-

cillia 03-18-2009 10:50 PM

actually the thing they said now, happened half a year ago(well for EU players) and you know what they did then?

They silenced all that talked about, rushed in nice CS things, next day BANG all germans banned.

Ivramire 03-19-2009 08:03 PM

^I believe they fired the person responsible for that?

But then again, it has been awhile.

Lone_Wolf 03-19-2009 08:19 PM

no they havent, it were Joker and Sking.

anywayz after huge comments they unbanned them and due to gamigo being gutless they didnt get sued(something I wouldve done)

Ivramire 03-19-2009 08:27 PM

I didn't remember the persons held responsible were SKiNG/Joker/a GM. I remember it being someone on the more technical side, a nameless person who handled the non-public side of things.

Still...this seems like much too long since the time they were first supposed to be banned.

Lone_Wolf 03-19-2009 08:46 PM

Well I remember Joker going over it, anyway there they proved to me that they are arrogant ammatuers that dont give a damm for their players, just for the size of their wallet.

They treated the EU players like dirt there and actually thy could be sued for breaking the right on information.

Ralath 03-19-2009 10:02 PM

^Doubt it, but OK, if you think so.

Lone_Wolf 03-20-2009 05:43 AM

The sue thing?
Maybe not dont know enough of the law for that :P
But read it somewhere, also canit be trusted? dunno, anyway IMO they treated the EU players unfairly there.

Phantom Badger 03-20-2009 07:36 AM

I think last time they did this most players got angry because they still allowed us to buy CS before telling us that we would be blocked.
So they still let us buy a month tux or something (and they actually released a load of stuff for us to buy) but were still gunna block us like in a week.
Because that was false advertising they knew someone would sue (I made a few threats ;P XD) so it encouraged then to negotiate with gamigo.

Lone_Wolf 03-21-2009 07:58 PM

Eventually cause gamigo was trying that for quite a while already.
