I need to vent >.>

ok, so today at P.E., we were doing baseball, and we split into a couple of teams to practice. Kids on the other team start throwing those little plastic balls with holes in them that are hollow at me and my friend. when we go and tell the teacher, she criticizes us for a minor thing where apparently teammates were supposed to pitch to us instead of the opposing team, making the two teams take turns. She then totally ignores the fact that we were getting the balls thrown at us, and when i try to point it out, she mocks me for using the term "accentuate." Also, before you say that IF we had follow the rules it wouldnt have occured, our teammates were being bullies too, imatating me in a mocking manor when i pointed out that we were supposed to only have 4 pitches each, and cussing us out for random stuff. besides, it'

Belaslav 03-12-2009 10:12 PM

...and we're back to square one.

Look, you can't depend on people to help you forever. YOU have to do that for yourself. Sure your teacher is an ass, but still...

Hraesvelg 03-12-2009 10:16 PM

Since when have PE teachers given a flying damn about anything that happens in their class? As long as there isn't blood, they don't care.

Jikanu 03-12-2009 10:26 PM

...*sigh*... that's... really... really... depressing ._.

Hraesvelg 03-12-2009 10:55 PM

The world isn't going to treat you with kid gloves, mate. You're just going to have to man up and deal with it.

Jikanu 03-12-2009 11:04 PM

but if they're PAID to insure the saftey of their students, shouldnt they do their job? you dont get a job in the secret service, and then when the president gets shot say "whoopdie-friggin-doo... he should've had the bullet-proof hood on the car >.>"

That reminds me what my health teacher said about the security guards in my school. They don't really do their job. They try to act like your friend and they check out the girls...:zomg:

Hraesvelg 03-12-2009 11:07 PM

You were getting pegged by whiffle balls, nancy. Your safety was not at risk.

A_Forever 03-12-2009 11:08 PM

I lol'd at that JFK reference.

Thats not a very good defense, kid.

Its gym. Shit happens in gym all the time. I haven't been to a school yet where the gym teacher deals with little things like being hit with a plastic ball. Kids have to defend themselves. No, you don't have to punch the "bully".. just throw the ball back at them.

Hazu 03-12-2009 11:14 PM

Wiffle balls kinda hurt at times..... especially if my brothers throw them.

But yeah coaches dont usually care about the kids. They have favortism towards thekids that playtheir sport. Forget about other kids. Dont really care about their job. check out the female students. yeah. Coaches suck. So glad it isnt madatory in highschool but hten again... people arnt asses at my school like that. The coaches dont really care what we do and usually play gameson computers but yeah... lol.

I understand why you'd be upset about htis. But If it gets bad enough I say report it to the principal or something. If it isnt that bad, ignore the idiots. They'll probably be on the streets begging for money while your in a comfy home one day. Bullies get no where :3 and karma... is a wonderful thing

Jikanu 03-12-2009 11:15 PM

physically? no. obviously, i wasnt going to die or something or get a massive bruise. it's more the thought behind the act that bothers me. the fact that people are jerks to people they barely even know bothers me more... diminishes hope in humanity... etc., etc... plus, this is YOUR guys's future too... *points to the jerk throwing the balls* Future governor... *points to random guy making insults* future president of the State of Alaska after the polar bear revolt of 2015 in which President John Stewart will be eaten by the banana slug horde... *points to random guy pushing a kid into a locker* future ambassador... etc. etc...

EDIT: also, hrae, i never claimed to be strong... im a self proclaimed wimp.

A_Forever 03-12-2009 11:21 PM

@Hazu- Coaches suck? Because they lean more towards the guys and usually guys that play their sport(s)?

Ehh. I've never really known a coach like that. I had a coach as a teacher in 8th grade. For success tomorrow, he absolutely loved me and my friends(Kind of the awkward group, we were)

&& All my gyms teachers have loved me xD I'm not very sportsy either.

Hazu 03-12-2009 11:27 PM

Yes coaches suck atleast the lazy faggyones in Oklahoma :) They all have major favortism towards the sports players.
And the ones at one of my old schools were perves and would stare at the girls. (and have done a few things that they should have been fired for)
And another old school the coaches would yell at the other kids but the kids that played sports they never got in trouble for anythinga nd always had high grades.
My current school it isnt so bad......... the coaches are just so lazy in the classes.... hence why majority teach history classes.

A_Forever 03-12-2009 11:28 PM

LOL.

Yes, a lot of coaches and ex-coaches in my last district did teach History or some kind of social studies class xDD

Hazu 03-12-2009 11:29 PM

;D lazy coaches

and....... I make things go off topic to much x.o lol

Hraesvelg 03-12-2009 11:30 PM

My coaches didn't like me because I was decently tall and built like a mountain (in high school, took a lot of work lifting weights) but didn't play sports. I preferred band, academic quiz bowl and chess club. I was an avowed anti-jock. I know what it's like to be picked on and bullied. The answer isn't in appealing to a higher power. The answer is you telling yourself you're not going to be a victim any more. They throw a whiffle ball? Throw one back. They pull a knife, you pull a gun. He sends one of yours to the hospital, you send one of his to the morgue. *That's* the *Chicago* way! I really should stop communicating primarily by image macros and movie quotes. It's a disease.

You know how not to be a wimp? Just..don't be one. Excercise, lift some weights, learn judo, something. Your mentality is bringing on most of this. Hell, I don't even know you and I kinda want to give you a wedgie. You're really coming off as a whiny git. I'm not saying that you are, but you give that impression. Like I said, man up.

A_Forever 03-12-2009 11:30 PM

Eh. Its MoS.

Jikanu 03-12-2009 11:36 PM

*sigh*... i have no problem with me being a wimp. honestly, if i was left alone, and no one other than the few friends i have or someone i asked something of talked to me, i would be fine and there would be no reason to have a thread like this. im simply tired of people in my age group. 95% of them make no sense... but it seems there's no solution. i suppose if i ignore them long enough they'll either go away or i'll grow numb to it. the only reason i got ticked is because of the teacher... she's just a jerk... just another bully... and even though i know authority figures dont do what they're elected/hired to do, at least most try to cover it up... >.>

Hrae's right. They're not picking on you because you're not physically strong, but because of your mentality. I've seen some jocks twice my size in kindergrarden that even I made fun of. Unless you show them you can defend yourself, this will go on for a looooooooooong time... until you go crazy, or bring a gun to school.

honestly... that wouldnt happen O_O

im not THAT much of a wimp... i dont let what they say hold THAT much effect over my life... it's just an annoyance that i felt the need to vent about x.x

the way the kids acted didnt effect me as much as the teacher... like, i knew she was mean from past experiences, but i dont see why she would go as far as protecting bullies... guess it DOES teach the lesson that authority powers suck though... *turns on the clash*

Belaslav 03-12-2009 11:44 PM

I hate to sound like a broken record, but... welcome to life.

Hazu 03-12-2009 11:45 PM

>.> Im just happy that my school this doesnt happen in but not sure what age group you are. If its middle school thats like hell. All I have to say. Most people I know just laughed off the bullies and not let it show if it got to them. They'll continue to do it because they know it gets to you, they know they can hit those buttons. If it stops working they'll get bored of it and bugg off.. usually xP

meh. i know. just takes some getting used to, giving up hope for 95% of your fellow man...

well, there's still the next generation to hope for... perhaps they'll develop the brain cells their parents were lacking...

yep... 8th grade... im not quite happy about the move to highschool, since that's not much better, and in some cases, worse... the only thing im looking forward to is electives...

Belaslav 03-12-2009 11:48 PM

You haven't seen the whole 95% of the generation, so you can't really judge them. Maybe all you need is a change of habitat to someplace more intelligent.

good point.. a more accurate term would be the 95% of people i know around my age group.

Hazu 03-12-2009 11:53 PM

Actually I think the next generation might be worse than this one but yeah my opinion lol

But personally I found highschool to be enjoyable compared to middle school. Simply middle school is hell full of kids though through puberty and being confused and thinking they have to pick on people to be cool.
But... then again I live in oklahom and always go to country schools.. so if you live ina city I have no idea what they're like x3

Jikanu 03-12-2009 11:57 PM

meh... probably... but there's always hope...

and idk what you'd call this place... it's more of a town than a city... not in the country, but it's close... quite agricultural... but not around my neighborhood... hard to describe x.x

Hazu 03-13-2009 12:15 AM

^^ sorta makes methink of my town... since its called a city...... but isnt reallyone.

>:o but yeah....... school only last so long so look at bright side of things, dont let hte idiots make it bad, and have fuuuuuuuuuun~!

Jikanu 03-13-2009 12:37 AM

im acctually looking forward to the end of it so i can finally be free.

That is a weird trend o.O it was the same at my high school. All of my history teachers coached.

And yeah, coaches tend to discriminate or ignore the kids, except the jock types.

But really, if you find it an issue, talk to your principal, tell him/her that your teacher was letting this happen. But really, if its happening, and no one does anything about it, you will have to do something about it yourself.

That's the point we're trying to make. It's not going to end. Ever. People will forever be dicks. You will have to deal with these types of people FOREVER. They will be your bosses. They will be your coworkers. They will serve in community organizations with you. You WILL HAVE TO DEAL WITH THESE PEOPLE. Unless you plan on being a complete and total shut-in or move to some sort of hippie commune.

Whinging about unimportant things also makes people less sympathetic to your plight, I might add. Whiffle balls, man. Whiffle balls.

Jikanu 03-13-2009 01:00 AM

once again, the whiffle balls are nothing more than a catalyst... the teacher's outright jerkish-ness is what annoyed me. and hopefully i can be my own boss... i want to be a musician. but the chances of that are like... 1/100...

anyway, i understand i'll always have to deal with them, but at least they'll be easier to avoid. you arent forced into a tiny little room with your co-workers and forced to interact... most places have cubicles for that precise reason.

There's no avoiding.. u work.. you have to work WITH people... you'll never be a one man band, even if you're the boss you have to deal with clients...

i dunno why we have cubicles... but i'm sure it's not so we can avoid our workmates....

Hraesvelg 03-13-2009 01:12 AM

It's to give the illusion that you might at one point have something akin to personal space. All lies. Cubicle farms offer no real sense of personal space. That only comes with a door that closes.

No, they won't, actually. You will see them 5 days a week, longer than school hours (I'd assume) each day. You won't have lots of holidays where you can "avoid" them. You will have to work and cooperate with them even if you don't like them. In school, you could probably just "ignore", but you can't really "ignore" in the workforce. You start a job, and you'll be stuck there. Not saying you can't change jobs if you're unhappy where you're working, but depending on what you wanna do and stuff... don't always assume things will be that easy...

I am not a full time worker myself but that's what I'd imagine it'd be when you get out there... unless you get lucky and get to work with a group of nice people or something.

Edit: I wuz slow.

Vasu 03-13-2009 04:03 AM

No offense Jik, but you remind me of Rod and Todd Flanders from the Simpsons. ;P

of course not, but you can at least pick and choose your bandmates... and if that doesnt work out, i could still be a music instructor.

yes, but in the workforce you also have to have a slight bit of civility... yes, people will be condesending, and passive agressive... but to my knowledge, at least, they dont go around pushing and intimidating each other... so perhaps it's SLIGHTLY different.. but you're right in the fact that we'll all have to deal with people we severely dislike at some point... which sucks massively x.x

Vasu 03-13-2009 04:09 AM

See right now you're looking at dealing with jerks as a negative thing. It isn't, it's a normal thing, and anything above that is a positive.

Jikanu 03-13-2009 04:59 AM

hm... so basically you're saying thinking of it positively makes the situation positive?
