Alright Im a newb, I have no idea how this game works. I like a lot of others apparently am migratiing from flyff. Ver 9 sucks I came from flyffworld and saw a few people from there on this site so decided to join. Ima go check the wiki now so i can find out what the heck to do.

I do have one question Ive read that Clerics are the healers so can they compare to Rms. I loved being a Rm and supporting is that kinda the same concept or no.Also is there PvP at all?

Clerics > RMs from FlyFF. xD Just a personal opinion of mine. Why? Because we, clerics, don't drop dead after one hit like RMs from FlyFF. We can also hold our own battle and tank a little bit compared to RMs. Also, we don't get a lot of buff plz buff plzz (we get a bit of res plzz, I guess). Reason for that is because we don't have a lot of buffs to give to people. At lower levels, most of the buffs require you to be in the party with the cleric to get the actual buff (in this game, we use a thing called Scrolls to make up for that).

However, even with our lack of buffs, we're still loved and people always wants to party you. Cleric is a great solo-ing class as well (but of course, it's always faster to level if you party. xD) We may kill a bit slowly, but we survive well.

Yes, there is a PvP arena, but the PvP function thing isn't implemented yet. GM's do hold events for PvP but players can't go there and fight themselves. However, you can have battle with other people via Guildwars, which are pretty common these days (kind of).

Yes I agree I went from not dying by anyone to a lvl 20 almost killing me...uhm no thanks I spent hours working to be able to kill anyone in pvp and they took that away from meh :mad:

Clerics: I wouldnt even mention RM an High Cleric/Paladin in the same sentence where as Clerics only get party buffs their dmg in pvp is comparable to warriors * 2 hand sword an 1 hand sword fighters*. Clerics almost never die in pvp *gvg* due to low cool down on heal an your buffs *i.e invincible protect etc etc* Great first class..great class to farm with. I'd recommend startin a cleric first then makin another class as your second because the others are quite expensive to lvl due to high prices for hp/mp stones ^^:D..an welcome to the FF im the official forum spammer ^^.

Lol. Cool thanks for another welcome I was thinking of making a cleric as my fist char anyways so its good to know that stuff. Later Ill be making a PvP built char once I know more of how this game works and build up more money.

end:str cleric = pvp built character ^^..high hp decent dmg...an you wont be dyin anytime soon..lol i know ^^ i tanked GM guntrix's archer with that build.

I was gonna go to Teva because of Rightclaw and I knew that he used to play flyff,never knew him but meh I saw a flyffer so I decided that. And end:str at a 1:1 ratio..actually know that I think about it how do you get stat points and how many each time?

nah end:str at a 2:1 ratio ^^

You only get one stat point each level because you get "natural" stats as well (i.e. the game automatically adds a specific about of STR/END/INT/DEX/SPR to your character).

Before you go adding STR... have a think about SPR. xD I went STR:END in closed beta and is now an END:SPR cleric. They're both good in its own ways, but I'm starting to love my extra SP (or MP, which is what they called it in FlyFF) and 5% crit rate. xD It's really personal preference. Just thought you might want to know since there isn't a way to restat at the moment.

Yeah I did read that in a post something about 25 Spr and crit doesnt really up after the 25... I was interested in that as well. So also is there like a cash shop thing for the game or is everything available in game.

Hmm cash shop hopefully theres more for your buck than on flyff.
I havent decided quite yet what build.
Also from what Ive read it sounds as if skills have crit damage as well is that true?
And are both builds skill spamming or melee or in fact is this game only skills or melee or what lol.

Yes, skills can crit as well. In this game you can't solely rely on skills alone to kill mobs, since they all have cooldowns (unless you're a mage), so you'd have to whack mobs with your weapon.
