Buffing

:cries: why do ppl ask to be buffed on movers ? no one can skill on a mover so why ask to be skilled on a mover ? it rude to even ask as a lvl 87 pally i wont buff any mover and have been tool to **** off and go to hell !!!! manners cost nothing you want a buff get of ur mover cause i wont buff !!!!:ninja: i hope others with help with this :cutielove:

Maestro 02-21-2009 09:07 PM

I agree with makey's point here, it's ridiculous the way some of these people ask for buffs, the people asking for buffs on a mover is one of my favorite annoyances along with asking to be buffed while I'm being mobbed, or the "buff me plzzzzzzzz" and the spam asking for a buff........

I vote for a buff boycott day no clerics buff anyone at all for 24 hours

ClericalMakey 02-21-2009 09:12 PM

ty maestro ,3

kirbysprite 02-21-2009 09:19 PM

Why is this in Mature Discussions? All the things in the General Discussions are supposed to be unrelated to Fiesta.

Leesa 02-21-2009 09:32 PM

Yeah y is this in Mature Discussions? @_@ It should be in like... All the Rage.

And why would you be mad if someone asked to be buffed while they're on a mover?? o.O Does it mean that if they aren't on a mover it wouldn't be rude??? I don't really see what you're mad about.

ClericalMakey 02-21-2009 09:39 PM

cause its the thread it put it in and are you a cleric ? if you was you would understand cause the words my get hawt

Leesa 02-22-2009 12:35 AM

"the words my get hawt"?? o.O No I don't have a lvl 47 cleric, but I have buffed people before and they were on movers and I didn't get mad. I don't know why you would ge mad if someone asked for a buff while they were on a mover, it doesn't make sense. A buff is a buff, mover or no mover. I still don't understand what you're really angry about.

ClericalMakey 02-22-2009 02:31 AM

I dont have a lvl 47 cleric either lol but when you have movers running around you and you cant click on them and they start abusing you,its rude i personally think if you want a buff you sould not be on a move and i wont buff one i was just seeing what other ppl thought

Blaaaaaaaah 02-22-2009 02:37 AM

Ohhh I get what you mean. You mean, the person asking for the buff is on a mover, right?

Yeah, I sometimes have difficulty clicking them too. But they don't usually whine about me not buffing them because they are still waiting. I'm pretty sure they know that if they whine, they won't get a buff, lmao.

Maestro 02-22-2009 02:54 AM

That's why I side with makey on this one..... Verbal abuse for not buffing someone is ridiculous...... You wouldn't believe how many times I've been flamed for no buffing someone on a mover.

I'm not hurt about being flamed for it, it just gets really annoying.

If you want a buff get off the damn mover learn how to spell please and stand in one spot instead of running around in circles spamming "plz plz plz" people abuse clerics way to much for to have to put up with this bs

MagicBear 02-22-2009 04:52 AM

I never buffed anyone at all on my cleric...Lots of people dislike me. :cries:

cillia 02-22-2009 05:08 AM

i only get annoyed if they're like... circling around me and jumpin up and down and movin all around (XD)
if they're on a mover and just asking for a buff with out moving around and stuff and making it hard for me to click on them, then i buff them.. :O cuz with some people if you dont give them what they want, they just keep bugging you? XD (idk just my policy xP)

Zwivix 02-22-2009 06:51 PM

If they keep moving around they are just plain idiots.

My policy ask a cleric "*insert persons name*can I get a buff please* wait 5 sec if they dont move look for someone else. If people are mobbing "Can I get a buff when you have time"

Its not hard to be nice to clerics. People who cant are just plain retards.

I think they tried a cleric buff boycott, but they couldnt get everyone to agree and when in a party they buffed party.

Leesa 02-23-2009 01:27 AM

Oh thats what you mean ._. I thought you just meant that they were on a mover but not moving XD Kk I see how that would be annoying.

EdwardWarlock 02-23-2009 01:56 AM

Haha, I didn't know that pisses people off. I've ridden up to Clerics/Paladins and asked for a buff, but I always stopped moving and normally introduce myself before asking for anything. And I always take the time to thank them and ask them how they are doing as well....They are your best friends when you attract the mobs like me!

Be nice to clerics
....Nowadays people just buff me when they see me (those that know of me).

Hessah 02-23-2009 02:35 AM

I don't really mind buffing people that are on a mover.. (as long as they stay still...) To me, buffing someone on a hobby, or just standing there doesn't really make a difference.. in the end I lose the same about of SP.. and wasted the same amount of time LOL

but if I'M on the hobby... then don't expect me to get off my hobby just to buff randoms...

Leesa 02-23-2009 07:47 PM

Yeah thats what I would totally agree on, if the cleric is on the mover. Sure its annoying if the person is moving a bit on the mover but if the cleric is, it would be really annoying XD

Silent Wizard 02-23-2009 09:52 PM

You can complain all you want and you can explain all you want, asking plp to get off their mover and be polite, if thats how you want to spend your game time.

Just let Karma be your guide, if it is their Karma to have you buff them then just do it, if not then don't.

Clerics have this special power and thus a special role both on the battle field and in town. I hear plp say "clerics are boring to play". Being the only cleric in a party is more stressful than boring. We get abused and yelled at and plp put themselves on "follow the cleric"

No other class has to deal with that.

lamchopz 02-24-2009 06:56 AM

^ the lv 60 job change will show them how "boring" playing a cleric truly is. lol

mheng2master 02-26-2009 01:26 AM

hello

hi there...
well you can buffs me :cutielove:
im waiting for you..
you can add me EviloneAngeL
or mheng2mater

baneswrath 02-27-2009 11:08 AM

Don't get it?

Not about movers but about people asking for buffs. I don't get why everyone thinks people asking for buffs by saying buff pls, or buff plz is rude. It's just a fast way to ask for a buff. Not like they mean any disrespect by it. I don't even see how that can be interpreted as rude. If they said something like give me a buff now or hey you dumb cleric give me a buff, yah that would be rude. I'm a cleric and I don't mind giving buffs. It's what my class is for and I don't mind helping people out. So I was just wondering how this all got started and why people think its rude. Just trying to understand that's all.

Hraesvelg 02-27-2009 11:11 AM

It's because it doesn't show enough respect to the cleric when the person asking can't be bothered to type out a sentence. It's more of an imperative declaration rather than asking. "Would you give me a buff?" is ALWAYS better than "buff plz, plz, pls buff" etc.

Ivramire 02-27-2009 11:17 AM

^When people who could buff were rarer, people used to ask in nicer ways.

The Cleric expends SP and time spent shrooming / a stone + a bit of money to buy a new one. When people ask to be buffed like 'buff plz' or 'buff lol' it can seem to some people that they're not really grateful for the small thing you do by buffing them. Compound this by sometimes having a small swarm of people asking to be buffed and you multiply the small annoyance.

Your milage may vary, some may not mind at all but others dislike having to stop every few seconds or being asked to buff at really stupid times. For example, I was on a mover and was on my way through town. A level 2x started following me on his mover and said 'buff plz.' I'd normally get off and buff him but didn't feel like it, this one time. After I did nothing for a few seconds, he swore at me and proceeded to find some other Cleric to do their 'duty' and buff his level-20 butt...

It also doesn't help that it usually comes off more like a command than a request. I am in no way obligated to buff your undeserving...

It's not really a big deal, though annoying at times <3

EDIT: what Hrae said.

baneswrath 02-27-2009 11:20 AM

I see. So when people say buff pls or buff plz most people interpret that as give me a buff now. When I was lower level that is how i always asked for a buff but I didn't know it bothered people. I always made sure to thank them though for their help and their time. I also can see why people would be aggravated but swarms of people expecting buffs. It does take a lot of sp and sp can get expensive. I appreciate the info everyone.

Yeah it gets real bad at the lower lvls. I usually ask in a sense like: "Hiya could you buff me (Insert Name) plz?" And I always thank them, something to that extent. So ppl just run around saying buff plz like ignats.

Hessah 03-02-2009 02:26 AM

I think I stopped getting off my hobbies to buff people after I read this thread LOL!!!!! Too bad for those that asked me for a buff while i was window shopping..

it is especially annoying when you buff 1 person.. then about 5 others lines up and ask for a buff..

and then you have those people that ask "Anyone giving T3 buff?!"

Aren't they happy with just ANY buff? What if I've got T4 buff? Yeah sure, I've got T4 buff, but since you only asked for a T3, i'll just give you T3...

It's especially funny when they're like level 0-3x.

"Don't you have anything stronger?"

"I'm already quadrupling your HP..."

Hessah 03-02-2009 02:40 AM

And those that didnt realise they got buffed...

"buff plz buff plz"

"you're already buffed"

"oh yeah....

Thanks!"

keke those make me laugh

EdwardWarlock 03-02-2009 03:07 AM

Yeah it's so stupid now. Sometimes I just pluck down the extra mats or silver for some T3s and don't even ask. Uruga becoming the new Roumen and I hate it.

Yes, the spammers have shown up. Only now, they are buying rather than selling gold.

I hope that the new towns will have a level limit to scroll to or enter.

Sparkeh 03-02-2009 03:04 PM

Uruga is a victim now...

Sand Hill got limits only? >.>;?
