Now waiting for my last lecture.. gah... |

Yeah I do... I usually catch the same train as you because I leave early, lmao. I'm trying not to leave early today.. but I might not last in the end.

Monday is bloody because it's only the start of the week, meaning there's still four whole days to go until the next weekend. This frustration makes her kill innocent kittens, that's why it's bloody.

bloody... coz that's "aussie" now apparently... u know how they put "where the bloody hell are you?" on our tourism posters?
should see the ad in the HK magazine, they had to translate it to chinese and it sounds so harsh HAHA and yuck! wat an early start!! i was still dreaming at 5am.... |
You know what I noticed... almost every English speaking country uses the word "bloody" like... bloody hell. But.. Americans don't. Why don't we? D: We can screw up the world with our ignorant slang.. but we can't say bloody hell.
u guy says "hella"... as far as i've picked up last time i was in US with my couz
like we go "that's bloody awesome" and u guys say "that's hella awesome" is that right..? |
Um, I guess o.O I don't say it. Americans say alot of stuff.. depends on where you are. Like.. some americans say soda, some say pop. Pop=evil
We have subs, grinders, and hogies, which are the exact same thing lol. |
Hogie reminds me of loogie
SODA AND COKE. That's universal for carbonated beverages. I think mostly east coasters say "Hella", I don't hear it much in california surprisingly. We use "mad" and "Sick" here a lot for good or impressive things or sometihng o_O
Like fully sick?
unfortunately we dun call coke.. soda... we call them soft drinks...
but yeah.. coke is the universal drink haha even macdonalds... we call it Maccas here, but US calls the MickyDee... HAHA San Fran is in California right?? maybe hella was a thing of the past.. the last time i was in US was... 7 yrs ago hahaha |
I could really screw this thread up by posting all the slang we have down here in the South. We do not say "Hella", but we have other words that most people think we crucify. We say "ya'll" instead of you guys, we say "ain't" a lot. We call everything "coke" even if it is a Pepsi. We run a lot of our words together also. I could give you examples, but it is only 8:30 in the morning here and I am still sipping on my coffee.
Do tell us then, after you've finished your coffee. I am curious. xDD!
Yes... ya'll, I used to say ya'll alot, but I moved to Virginia, and I grew out of it. But I still say it time to time. What else is there..
Caramel? care-uh-mel and car-mole. Pecan! Pee-can, puh-kahn, pee-kahn. I don't really notice my slang o.O hm.. |
"Over yonder."
"whidgadidga?" = with you, did you? Example: "You didn't bring the money whidgadidga?" I pronounce Dog as "dawg". Oil is pronounced "ul" same with foil, it is pronounced "full" All right is pornounced "a'ight" We use washrags instead of washclothes. That's all I can think of right now. |
And the name "Bubba" is used alot in the South alot too.. I noticed that. We got 3 Bubba's in my family down in Texas lol.
has someone named bubba ever become a lawyer or scientist?
Its not an actual name.. its just want people call their sons or relatives. Like my cousin Harry, everyone in my family calls him Bubba, but.. his name is Harry.
A-la-mini-um or al-ah-min-yum, we dont say ah-loom-inum
Lol, I say ah-loom-inum
wow.... hmm... so if i say "watcha gonna do?" is that a common slang across english speaking countries or its just here in Aust?
