[Video] Fiesta World Tour 01

Ever wanted to float around the Fiesta maps like a bird to see the maps from an other perspective? Now here's your chance!

Look at Roumen, Elderine and Uruga in a new way! and watch it in HD! (ingame quality ftw?)

More versions will come with even more maps ^^

Enjoy

Tbh...not really :cheeky:

I remember the trailers they used to have promoting Fiesta. I always wondered what game they took the video from.

Pretty vid.

Pretty vid.

What do you mean "what game they took the video from"... Fiesta ofcourse :urweird:

Ivramire 02-09-2009 07:46 AM

Ahh, meant that it looked like nothing in-game o__o

Looked so different.

Censtudios 02-09-2009 07:48 AM

Ah, because that was the old Fiesta Online, korean closed beta

Ivramire 02-09-2009 07:51 AM

LOL xD

I knew something was up!!!

It looked too pretty to be our version, even though they didn't display anything different in the commercial itself :urweird:

Censtudios 02-09-2009 08:49 AM

lol

but my version is in outspark though :)

Leesa 02-09-2009 10:23 AM

Oooo... newbies get the sexy map *0* Jealous~

Enraya 02-09-2009 10:52 AM

I remember some of bird-eye views in promotions too *o*
1:53; Uruga looks so pretty! Wish I could see Uruga like that every time I go to the map LOL.

I like the music by the way xD

Yosei 02-09-2009 11:23 AM

All they have to do is open the environment more, instead of preset trails, and we're set. Basic MMO feature.

say what?... you mean stuff like jumping onto stuff? and removing the ANNOYING "this area is not accessible" poop? if so, then yes I agree lol :O

*steals yosei's icecream*

Yosei 02-09-2009 12:05 PM

Yeah, that. Its annoying. Then plant some mobs in those areas, and ta da! More grinding for everyone.

Sir_Jacob 02-09-2009 01:08 PM

that's a great idea, so it will probably never happen xD
I doubt outspark would try to do that, since they just translate the game from one language to another. Unless the korean version magically had a more open map, I doubt we are going to get one. Be cool though.

Okay, I've just watched the video, and I have to say: Good job!

You got the scenery, the music, the whole feeling of it was correctly placed and executed. However I do feel some things need to be pointed out:

1. Framerate. Your current framerate is rather low, which causes images to streak a little. I'm guessing that it's the PC you used which is not powerful enough to run Fiesta and Fraps (or whatever recording software you used) at the same time because in the video, your framerate jumps to high during still shots and to low during movement shots.

2. Voice actor. The guy leaned a little too close to the microphone during recording and that caused his voice to be recorded along with his breaths. Either he should move away a little next time, or use a shielding screen.

Keep it up guys. One day people will pay you to make professional game commercials like this one. :cheeky:

Thanks for the comments! we appreciate feedback.

Yeah the framerate was a pain. had my editing program running as well XD but I didnt notice until later when I closed the game ._.

And we're already getting paid for some projects.

Maybe that is why some parts looked blurry to me. I was thinking HD should have been clearer. But, yeah, in some spots, it was pretty clear, then others, just meh.

And lol and the hearing the guy breathing. I do not have sound at work, but now I am thankful.

Censtudios 02-09-2009 07:50 PM

I also recorded in 1680x1050 so yeah... that also plays a role in framerate hehe. the higher the resolution (and quality), the lower the framerate :P

cillia 02-09-2009 08:19 PM

wait so... o.< theres a way for average players to see the maps like that? tell me how plox D;

anyhow really nice vid~ it doesnt seem that blurish to me, it looks more like you had the glow effect on x3

No. They use a special program.

cillia 02-09-2009 08:39 PM

Dx blah now im really curious! :< what program...

Ralath 02-09-2009 08:44 PM

Dunno what it's called but I remember it being against the ToS.

cillia 02-09-2009 09:09 PM

o___0 oh ok i guess ill end my curiosity then...
wait so does censtudios have to askfor permision to use that program then? :0

Ralath 02-09-2009 09:11 PM

yeah. pretty sure.

But now I'm just guessing.

Censtudios 02-10-2009 01:10 PM

We dont use programs that are against the TOS. We didnt use a program, other than fraps, to record the maps. If we want to use a program that we think could be against the TOS we communicate with outspark to make sure we are allowed to use it.

I cant go into details about this video XD, but its not against the TOS or anything related to that. Jus enjoy the view :O

Ralath 02-10-2009 02:40 PM

If it's not against the ToS, then what's the secrecy about?

I'm not accusing you of breaking the ToS, I just always thought you got permission from Outspark to do these things.

Belaslav 02-10-2009 02:45 PM

Are you saying that someone on your team developed an actual Fiesta map viewer?

Sometimes... depends on what it is. Censtudios grows and we get more and more complicated ideas and yes they rejected some of our ideas in the past due to TOS (lol). Thats why we ask them about it now before actually doing it, otherwise they will probably be all like "how did you do that?, that wasnt part of the plan, dont upload that video, blablabla"

But dont worry about all that >_> just watch the stupid video XD

Ralath 02-10-2009 10:42 PM

I just remember a person/group that made videos like yours with a free-moving camera and Outspark claimed they violated ToS or something like that.

Still don't understand what the big deal is about not sharing the program you use to get a free-moving camera.

cillia 02-10-2009 11:02 PM

im guessing that they just dont want to loose the games attributes? :/ idk
^^ i always thought that the gms had to give you like the "power" to fly around isya :o like in the video that was called like Fiesta Exploration or somethin.. :S oh well

Ralath 02-10-2009 11:12 PM

^Yep. That's the one.

Couldn't remember what it was called. ^^;;

But yeah, if you notice, the tags for this video are a little sketchy..... >.>

xkev 02-11-2009 01:03 AM

love it woot

we didnt use that program (or something similar) for our video.

the creator of that video basically made a "hack" which can also teleport your character to impossible areas on the map (like the lighthouse, etc).

our method is 100% tos-friendly XD

but there is no real free-roam in the game, even GMs cant do it.

okie thx for clearing that up xD all my confusion just went "poof" XD

*.* and the vid really does look shiney..

Let me guess, your "method" has a giant "Classified" stamp on it.

Lone_Wolf 02-11-2009 06:55 PM

I think most people here know that centrix had a priviliged position in OS because of his friendship with Sking.

Pritcher 02-11-2009 10:21 PM

Oooh, very nice beauty shots and musical accompaniment. I like it; soothing. I gotta say I'd like to have access to that "free roam" method you used, but I don't really have time for video making, (or gaming for that matter), anymore these days anyway. Aside from the framerate stuttering a bit I thought it was very nicely done though.

Ralath 02-11-2009 11:02 PM

If your method is 100% ToS friendly, why not share it?

Cant really call it friendship. He contacted me after seeing one of my videos.

Sometimes there are certain things its better people do not know. The info could do more harm when its known. Maybe not, but you never know until its too late. And im not a timetraveler so I cant wind back time.

Plus, its not up to me to decide whether it can be said or not.

Lone_Wolf 02-12-2009 02:57 PM

Well you got a priviliged position for it though, cant say you were a lot of use as a mod.

though truth be told its a nice vid

Yes well Outspark isn't dumb either. They use our work as advertisement for their products... >_>

They are asking us to make more "official" videos for them now, like a new windslayer trailer as well as an official "Outspark trailer", which is being worked on by 3 crewmembers right now :O
We're striving to be a real machinima organization that makes promo/trailer videos for game developers and I think it's already happening a little bit.

But ok enough of that :S

Thanks for the compliment XD
