Store-bought or home-made by someone?

Store-bought - uses a hardener in their icing - you should be able to take a toothpick and lift up on the edges of the writing and pull it off. Chances are though, that the coloring used in the text-icing bled onto the layer-icing. If that is the case, there is not much you can do unless you have some wax paper.

If you do, then take a butter knife and gently "stir" (using the flat of the knife, not the tip) up the icing where the writing was. Then cut a small square out of the wax paper and lay it over a section of the icing and smooth it back out with your finger tip. A few drops of water on the icing will help to loosen it up to make it easier to work with.

Home-made - just scrape it off and blame it on a bad cook.

I can't believe no one has said it yet...

Just tell them the cake is a lie.

Ralath 02-08-2009 09:51 PM

Cover up your name with something...

More icing?

Hessah 02-08-2009 09:53 PM

add "na" at the end of "adrian" so it's.. Adrianna... your sister....

Leesa 02-08-2009 10:01 PM

i nvr knew FF was so mischievous :O

Destrus 02-09-2009 02:01 AM

you know, it almost sounds as if spirit's done thius before o_o

but anyways the knife i just used to cut it was too short so the handle made sure nothing is readable :3

Hessah 02-09-2009 02:13 AM

HAHAHAHA cut the cake up then hand it out.. that's a good idea too!

I also thought very strangely why Spirit knows so well...

maybe... she had a cake with an incorrectly spelt name on it?!

I have actually taken classes on cake-decorating. I used to make all of my son's cakes. And My nieces. And my hubbies. you get the idea. Plus Lady always put me in charge of making cakes for other things also.

Cursive ? never heard of it.

We have Print writing, and Joined up writing. I guess Cursive is the same as the latter. But yeah i fail at reading it. I thought it was either an F or a small B.
