Did Disney REALLY mean to do this?

I'm not sure if it's been posted already....but.

In my opinon, I really think it was just a coincidence, and something that was blown way out of portortion. I mean really...? "Good teenagers take off your clothes?" LOL.

The Little Mermaid thing on the other hand, well....I'm not too sure about that. But they were saying that these things are occuring because Disney wanted too appeal to the 'adult' audience too. I just think it's rediculious.

Leesa 02-08-2009 03:42 PM

AAAAKKKK!!!! Turned up my volume.. -_-

LOL I nvr realized that XD

Lirange 02-08-2009 04:04 PM

-_-
lol well theres also a lion king one where the words say sex
but i think its just a coincidence

Flowersss 02-08-2009 04:14 PM

Woah I've never seen that one before o: I'm wondering....was that intentional? LOL

Yosei 02-08-2009 04:15 PM

Gah I hate that stuff >_< and I wouldn't be surprised if Disney did that. There's subliminal messages in a lot of stuff.

Fighterboy 02-08-2009 04:18 PM

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!I exited internet as fast as possible and ran!Scared the crapp outa me.

Flowersss 02-08-2009 04:22 PM

I know, the same thing happend with 'The Little Mermaid' video tape cover. They got sued for putting 'inappriopiate images' on the cover.

Warning_Shot 02-08-2009 04:28 PM

Disney is a web of subliminal messages and propaganda. If you want a good laugh, go on youtube and search for their WW2 stuff. The three little pigs was never the same once Hitler got involved.

Pritcher 02-08-2009 06:30 PM

I remember hearing that a few years ago. It does sort of sound like that. The script and subtitles say he's saying something like, "Good kitty. Take off and go." It doesn't really sound quite right though. It's sorta garbled like two different voices overlapping. Maybe an editing mistake.

I heard that Lion King sex star thing might have been done by the special effects team and it's meant to spell out "SFX", but I dunno. The Little Mermaid cover they say, was just an accidental coincidence and that the artist didn't realize it. That's hard to believe for me though. I mean how can you draw that with your own hand and never have it cross your mind that it might look a bit like a...
...:zomg:.

There are lots of Disney rumors flying around. Snopes has looked into most of them. I love the one about the lemmings. I guess PETA wasn't around back then.

iDerrick 02-08-2009 06:34 PM

Reminds me of Nintendo's "U R MR GAY"

http://www.megatonnews.com/2007/09/1...xy-u-r-mr-gay/

Notice the rocket and the black hole haha.

A_Forever 02-08-2009 06:52 PM

I've heard about all of this before o:

Destrus 02-08-2009 07:17 PM

kirbysprite 02-08-2009 08:05 PM

I was really gonna ask why The Little Mermaid was sued... Then I found out...

Flowersss, why did you choose the video that scares you at the end?

Flowersss 02-08-2009 08:25 PM

Wow, I seriously didnt mean to choose the video that scared you ROFLL. I never watched it all the way through....I just stopped it at the end of that gltiched part LOL WOW. I'm so fail. I'll change it!

ROFL, wow. Ridiculious.

koager 02-08-2009 08:31 PM

people have said that the lion king wasnt "sex" but "sfx" for special effects
the alladin thing is actually false according to snopes

A close listening to the audio track reveals Aladdin speaking the words "C'mon . . .good kitty," and just as Aladdin says the word "kitty," a second voice begins to whisper, "Pssst . . . take off your clo. . ." Who this second voice is, and exactly what he says, is a mystery.Whatever is being said, to the casual listener the resulting phrase can certainly sound like the "Good teenagers, take off your clothes," although the phrase is clearly the combination of two different voices speaking in two different tones. Once people have been told what they're "supposed" to be hearing, however, they find it difficult to maintain objectivity and therefore swear that Aladdin couldn't possibly be saying anything

its an interesting sites with all the explanations of true/false/unconfirmed

edit: lol is late. pritcher already posted this

I didn't know what the little mermaid cover looked like, so I googled it up. Found this too:

However, there is something to this whole Little Mermaid thing, I do think. My niece had a big plastic Little Mermaid model city. You put it together and had all the characters to place on it and do some role playing. It sat on the floor after being unwrapped, shiny and detailed. It was pretty cool, very colorful with a lot to do. And you know what was right in the middle of the thing? That thing. And it was so graphically, obviously a large, thick, bulb-ended, 10 inch tall ...uh...you know.... that was all sat and looked at at and just shook our heads.
Apparently they had a model of that city LOL.

These are the things I'd never notice.. xD "good teenagers take off your clothes"? Where did THAT come from LOL.

ROFLLLL @ that quote. Do they really think that's kid friendly? I mean really!

Enraya 02-08-2009 09:38 PM

I wouldn't have noticed something like that in a movie poster, but a model.. eh xD Kind of too obvious LOL.

Belaslav 02-09-2009 03:10 AM

I'm guessing that when they put voices on Alladin, during the recording of them either some actor thought it would be funny to say "....take off your clothes...", or someone brought their kid who's mind was in the gutter and he jumped in and said it..

'tis supposed to be SFX yeah D:

Have you seen the Disney cartoon of Donald duck in nazi germany ? That one's classic :D

And The Rescuers with the naked woman in the window o-o

Hraesvelg 02-09-2009 07:32 AM

Those WWII propaganda cartoons are great. I could just imagine the backlash if something like those were produced today.

My mom works at disney, and as a teenager I got to meet alot of the sound guys and animators during the aladdin era, and yes the people who did it meant to do it. No, DISNEY did not mean to do it, but the people did. Animators, sounds guys, do this in almost every disney movie.

The little mermaid picture was a result of an artist getting laid off in the middle of the cover design. Aladdin soundclip was kinda wedged in there using an overlap as a prank. Lion king, prank. Its the same thing as in who framed roger rabbit, theres a scene where for a single frame, jessica rabbit is nekkid. I think its near the end when the car skids through the dip and she gets ejected.

The guys that make your favorite kids movies are mostly pervs. My mom told me about the little mermaid cover before anyone really knew about it. Disney issued an under the table recall to all employees saying to buy the copies off of family and friends, flea markets, whereever they find copies and to obtain them by less than reputable means if necessary. My mom saved the letter they issued for the recall. Funny stuff if you ask me.

Snopes got paid off. I dont like how people think that a "mythbusting" website is a reliable of a source of information. It's about as reliable as jimbobs tripod page with the flaming skull rotating animated gif. In the end its all he said she said crap. Take this for what its worth, but ive known about alot of this stuff for over ten years.

I knew that they had too have had some aknowledgement of doing these things. Thats just....sick on their part.

Jikanu 02-21-2009 05:32 PM

the subliminal messaging thing doesnt bother me quite as much as the war propaganda... the racist depiction of the Japanese guy is apalling >.O

the subliminal messaging probably doesnt have QUITE as much effect as that does.

Disney=Evil. the Jonas Brothers and Hannah Montanna are proof.
