After a year+ on an american game / forum...

Since I have to convert the dd/mm/yy to mm/dd/yy all the time...

I'm getting so confused at work.. i have to think twice is today the first? of Feb.. so... 01/02? 02/01?

Gaaaa.....

A_Forever 02-01-2009 10:40 PM

Huh?

Here in the US we do mm/dd/yy

So right now it is 2/1/09

You're confusing me.

Hessah 02-01-2009 10:43 PM

but here we use dd/mm/yy...

so at work i need to use 01/02/09...

esp when the numbers are so small i get confused~

I think i should've said I have to convert mm/dd/yy to dd/mm/yy...

In the US, dates are typically formatted: mm/dd/yyyy

In Europe and Australia, they format the date: dd/mm/yyyy

Where d=day, m-month, and y=year.

Since Hess lives and works in Australia, she uses the format of dd/mm in real life, then hops on an American game/message board (here) where we use the mm/dd format. It can get confusing when going back and forth. That's why I tend to write months out longhand. Today would be 1 February, for instance.

Hessah 02-01-2009 10:55 PM

Oh i didnt realise she didnt understand my post LOL

Thx Hrae...

Yeah... well since 1 Feb 09, would be the same format as our dd/mm/yy it would make it easier for me...

but some things on the computer must be entered in number format so yeah...

Just that i never really had to think twice before i put dates in programmes, but now i do XD

Eh, I have the same problem because ever since seventh grade French, I've been writing my dates in the European fashion. I was a pretentious little git. Our French teacher was a hot little Belgian number, too. Good times.

I'm used to dd/mm/yy too.
