IE doesn't work with Fiesta.

*Points at title* Anyone know why? D:

Loveless 01-30-2009 10:55 PM

That doesn't really explain much... do you mean you cannot open up the site using IE? Screenshot the error?

Zwivix 01-30-2009 11:41 PM

I dont know what you mean either opening an IE window with Fiesta running.

It might lag alot but it works.

cillia 01-31-2009 12:03 AM

if this is what your asking, whenever i click on announcements on the launcher and it opens up IE, IE crashes for me xP not sure if thats what you're asking.. ): if it is i dont know why it does that

Kaidela 01-31-2009 01:25 PM

I mean... when I have Fiesta running, my internet (IE, Firefox anything outside the game and instant messengers) seriously does not work. At all. ._. I have to close the entire game to do anything.

Solution: http://getfirefox.com/

Loveless 01-31-2009 06:39 PM

That just means that your computer cannot handle working with both Fiesta and IE/Firefox. Web browsers tend to take up a lot of memory and so does Fiesta...

Kaidela 01-31-2009 08:35 PM

But...it's been fine since I started playing last October. ._. Same computer, same everything.

Since last October Fiesta file has increased with updates (and has been quite a pain since for me as well). I would recommend you to check for virus, spyware, and the like. Run Disk Defragmenter, and Disk Clean-up to clear up any unwanted files (temp files from downloads).

Also check your C drive (or whichever file you download/install things to) and make sure you have enough space there too (right click on the icon and go to properties to see how much space is left). Try to uninstall things that may have come as an add on to your other installations if possible.

Has it been a problem in the past? If yes, your computer is old and tired and wants an upgrade.

If no, check things that will have changed since then: free disk space, virus/malware infection, HOSTS file, new/changed firewalls, internet bandwidth.

Kaidela 02-01-2009 01:13 AM

Nope, never happened before.

Thanks for the help, I'll try those things. x.x

I have also noticed that, for me, the ingame browser that takes you to the store doesnt work either, and thats IE based (As in if the ingame browser crashes, IE crashes as well) Could these issues possibly be related?

Spirit 02-09-2009 06:09 PM

This whole issue started for me last Saturday also.

As in Friday night I could play the game and surf FF at the same time.

Nothing changed.

Woke up Saturday morning - could not.

I had someone tell me this weekend that they thought it might be X-trap blocking the internet.

Kaidela 02-09-2009 11:49 PM

Yeah, mine's still doing it...good to know it isn't just me. I wouldn't be surprised if it was X-trap. X-trap has always given my trouble. P:

Loveless 02-09-2009 11:57 PM

Mm... my browsers are stuffed up too. It's irritating to have to quit the game just to browse the Internet. -__-"

Have you sent in a report to OS?

Spirit 02-10-2009 01:26 AM

Nope. I gave up on reports a while back when I sent an issue in and never received anything whatsoever back. Not even a kiss my ass we don't care.

Richie 02-18-2009 02:36 PM

Bandwith hogging? Fiesta is known for that.
<~ Hates having to close down Msn while playing.

LollyPop 02-23-2009 02:48 PM

same for me. Can't do anything IE related with fiesta running. although I did click that diagnostic link and it tested then told me to check a coupl eof ports to ensure they wren't blocked. I dont know enough about PC's to go that far tho... not sure if this helps lol but Yeah You aren't the only one with this problem
