Window Mode
 

When I run window mode it won't let me make the window any smaller it stays the size of the screen, the only difference is that there is a minimize and ext button. I have windows Vista if that helps but I just want to make the window a little smaller.

hmm are u sure there isnt a 800x600??

i thought i use to run Fiesta on 800x600 with normal desktop resolution at 1024x768....

and my Fiesta is smaller than my windows...

Since i got a bigger monitor now... my normal window is on 1280x1024 and Fiesta is on 1024x768... so its still smaller so there's a gap where i can see my desktop....

it's possible.. just gotta make sure the resolution on ur desktop is bigger than the rest of your game...

The only choice on the game is 1024x768 and that's how big my desktop is.

There is no point in giving me a screenie, there is only one choice for me and that is 1024x768.

yeah thats why i thought i could do s screen shot so u can see where my graphics settings are... just in case we're both looking at different places...

but i guess there's only 1 place to change resolution.. under options, graphics setting right?

I only have one choice in my one as well. I don't see a 800x600 one.

but i'm sure there's more than 1 option... i changed the resolution to [wide] on my frd's laptop coz he has a wide screen...

probably depends on the screen u've got....

I can choose 1024x768 and some with 1200x800 (or something). Depends on which comp/laptop I'm on though. I'll check when I get home.

Yea, it looks like it depends on your monitor. Because, i've got a wide screen and it let's me choose between 2 different [wide]'s and 2 other options.

Not so sure about that. I'm using the same monitor with a different computer and I have different resolution choices. I've lost 800x600 and gained 2 wide screen resolutions on this new one. Maybe this weekend I'll plug in another monitor and see.

As it is, I have 5 resolution choices, two of which are wide.

It's the same in all games, it's all about the size of you monitor like the desktop size too ! xD
+ window doesnt mean that you can make it smaller etc, it's that you can make it go down w/o alt + tab.
And in lots of games alt+tab doesnt work so yeah, there is window mode needed. -.-

Really? That's funny, because I've been playing Fiesta with the same computer, monitor, everything, yet my 800x600 resolution disappears without a trace. According to you, the size changes with your monitor size. But I didn't change a thing, and it disappears. Care to explain?

If it's "the same in all games", shouldn't the sudden disappearance of the 800x 600 resolution affect ALL games then? Oh wait, it doesn't. Oh well, I guess you're wrong.

And of course window mode doesn't necessarily mean one makes his or her game smaller. It just allows them to access it easier. However, some people like to change their resolutions to something smaller than the size of their screen. That's smaller as far as I know. So in a way, it DOES make it smaller, zomg!

it could hv something to do with the graphics card...

I had 3 options on my old computer 17" LCD monitor... and i just got a new computer so my sis has got the LCD screen which replaced her 15".

Apparently, she doesnt hv the 3 options even though i had it, with the same monitor... so it might be a setting on the graphics card...

either way... all these doesnt really solve the problem... just throwing suggestions up in the air so whoever has the problem could try play with the settings on their comp... so there's no point in saying who's right or wrong...

I have an Nvidia 8600, you'd figure that would get more than one option.

well yeah, you had right about it, which i said too thought. like if you go to msn during playing you'll need window mode i guess. so you can play + chat. :)
And for me atleast it may lagg with alt + tab for some reason...mostly when i vend -.-
