when i downloaded audition i used their stupid downloader thing. it was had something called pando media booster. THAT FUCKING THING STAYED RUNNING ALL GOD DAMN NIGHT AND THERE'S NO FUCKING ICON SHOWING THAT IT'S RUNNING SO THERE WAS NO WAY I COULD HAVE KNOWN. i get back from class at noon and i see an email saying that i've gone over the limit so my speed is reduced to 64kb/s for the next damn week and i have no idea why. i look at my network activity and i see one of the things is pando media booster which i only barely remembered from when i downloaded audition. THAT FUCKER USED UP 18 GIGS OVER NIGHT. I ONLY HAVE 10 GIGS UPLOAD FOR 3 DAYS. NOW I'M FUCKING STUCK AT THIS SLOW ASS SPEED FOR A WEEK AND CAN'T EVEN FINISH DOWNLOADING ONE PIECE.

yea, it's like a torrent so it was uploading to other people downloading the game i guess.

i shouldn't have any ports open that aren't normally i think.

O_O Which version are you talking about? I used their downloader for Nexon but it was slow as so I stopped it. I hope nothing is running o_O

our upload doesnt count as our download for our plan so we're fine LOL

i'm at school so it's different and blaaah it's probably running. the default setting is for it to start when windows starts. the max speed here seems to be about 1MB/s, that's what i got up to downloading and now i'm asuming that's possible for upload too. also my bandwidth limit is 10 gb down and 10 gb up in 3 days so i enarly did double the limit for upload in one night.

wait.. wouldnt it have capped you as soon as you hit 10gig upload?

Im confused because audition is like 900 megs? and the pando
media booster is like 5 mbs so how did it take up 18gigs on your comp? :S

reaching the cap doesn't stop us automatically. the email didn't get sent out until sometime after 10am this morning so it was probably around then that they set my speed to 64kb/s.
pando media booster is a p2p program. it continued to run in the background and upload without me knowing it.
if you check the processes running i think it's osmehting like PMB.exe but i can't really remember. what you can do is go to control panel and find it in there. you can turn it off and change the settings there or do what i did and just uninstall it.

It wasn't running but I uninstalled it.

i went to their contact thing but they don't have a feedback option so i sent something to tech support. don't think they even payed attention to the complaint. they just assumed iw as asking how to turn it off.
