Full Metal Alchemist
Since Loveless made the [ocean] board go BOOM I have nowhere to rant about anime and manga D:
FMA is going to have a another season in the Spring! what's it going to be about though? The first season + movie pretty much ended the series o.o So, to prepare for FMA I went and read all 91 chapters that's currently released (omg its still ongoing!) in these 2, 3 days and :zomg::zomg::zomg: A bit before halfway through the manga the story pretty much completely split from anime sirsly~ that one thing happened and then Al was able to do that one thing just like Ed and then Hohenium and that one thing did that together in secret and then that happened and it came out. It was a mess :zomg: Then all of a sudden Gluttony did that with Al and that one other guy and Greed did it with that guy and they are together forever so far :zomg: then in the anime that one homunculus didn't exist, well he did exist but it was a different character than in the anime :zomg: and yeah..... btw did you know that the person who does the voiceover for Al is a female!? She's also the one who does Shana in Shakugan no Shana I believe:urweird: |
Did you also know that the anime/manga thread was back? Lol
I got bored of reading FMA... I think I prefer the anime. Apparently the 2nd season is of Ed and Al grown up? No idea... |
I smell Blags.
|
no wai :zomg:
-goes to post- |
This is why I prefer the manga. It's a lot better. xD
|
its so much to read and catch up on though D:
like I refuse to read bleach and naruto |
@.@ more FMA= win

OMGEYSYESYESYESYESYS!
I loved the anime. I tried to start reading the manga but.. manga's just aren't my thing I guess. Might give it another go sometime later. And did you know a woman also did the voice over for Ed in the japanese version? xD |
Yar. A lot of the young boys' voices are done by women... :3

Think it was the same person who did Hitsugaya in Bleach? Or am I thinking of someone else... If I remember right. it was the same woman who also did Shinji Ikari in Evangelion. Amazing voice acting :zomg: |
Isn't the new FMA anime going to be following the manga's storyline?
The reason the first FMA anime is different (after a few episodes) is because the manga wasn't anywhere near finished. Not sure how close it is to ending now. Though, that makes me wonder, if the new anime is following the manga's plotline, are they going to skip/summarize the first few parts? Because they are the same thing pretty much... And there's no reason to animate the same thing. o-o |
But... but... was the movie just a possible alternate ending then? And in no way connected to the actual story...
'Cause Ed and Al ended up living in 'our world'. |
is this true ? o.o any proof ? I love FMA !
|
The source that I know of is that on one of the recent manga there was a loose ad that mentioned it.
|
could we see a screenshot or picture ?

YAY!!!
Spring? i hope it's ur spring and not my spring.. LOL it sounds so confusing is koager talking about S1 or S2?! (or manga... or anime :lost: so lost) |
Spring would be Japan's spring since that's where the anime is coming from :p
I think its sometime in april or may? whenever this boring winter season lineup finishes + 1 week break I first said that I watched S1 then I read the manga then "ZOMG its so different" and then asked what will S2 be about since S1 pretty much ended the series so its not like S2 can pick up from where S1 left off like most S2 do |
Also, characters have died in the anime that are still alive in the manga. :/
|
^Really? Which characters are those? o-o I know of characters that died in the manga but in some way or another, are alive in the anime.
<- Never finished the anime, not that interested at the moment. Anyways, I tried to find the scan that mentioned the new FMA anime, but I'm not sure what chapter it was clumped with and after doing a quick browse, I gave up trying. xD I like the direction the manga went more. There was a bit of a dull point (for me) somewhere between the beginning and the middle, but after that, my interest went up. That dull point might have been due to me seeing the anime version of it and not interested in reading basically the same thing again. I started the manga first, but stopped, watched part of the anime, stopped, picked up the manga again, stopped, and then started to watch the anime again, and once more, stopped. Much later I started to read the manga again. I'll probably finish the anime when the manga ends. |
