Hraesvelg 01-14-2009 10:08 PM

Aw, don't lie. You're being sent home because you were copying your ass with the copier again...LOL

MagicBear 01-14-2009 10:40 PM

But, isn't is a Dry heat, so it really doesn't seem as hot as like our 95 F?

Hessah 01-15-2009 02:30 AM

hmmm maybe XD

Spirit 01-15-2009 02:37 AM

I met a guy once and he said that the heat over there was not like the heat over here, because over there it is a dry heat and we have a lot of humidity in our heat, which makes it seem hotter.

Hessah 01-15-2009 02:39 AM

ohh so u're all... sticky?

i think our humidity drops with heat... they were hving bush fire warnings yesterday coz the humidity is so low

Hraesvelg 01-15-2009 02:59 AM

It is a lot easier to handle, Spirit. I spent some time in Nevada where it topped out over 115 a few days, but it had next to no humidity. It was a walk in the park compared to here (Louisiana, which is close enough to compare to you).

Spirit 01-15-2009 03:04 AM

Yepyep. Our heat is a very sticky hot.

fullback 01-15-2009 03:28 AM

For once We missed the snow here.

Pritcher 01-15-2009 05:04 AM

Just be thankful you're not being sent home because your company is cutting costs by massively reducing employee hours. This whole recession thing is starting to hurt...

:cries:

As for the temperature thing, yeah, dry heat is easier to deal with. I'll take 100 degrees in Arizona or Texas, (never been to Australia so I can't compare that one), over those sticky, humid and muggy 80-90+'s we get here sometimes. I prefer the winter weather though; getting warm is easier than gettin cool.

Prissy 01-15-2009 05:14 AM

i heard it was gonna get colder here. up to 0 degrees...:zomg: *time for my blanky*
