Future Shop Items

I was browsing through the Bright Kingdom item mall a little while ago and looking at some of the items they have for sale. I haven't seen much discussion of it so I thought I'd post some of my findings. All of these items will likely be sold in the future.
  • Red Slate: Prevents item from breaking while refining. (15 uses)
  • Green Slate: Prevents item from downgrading while refining. (15 uses)
  • Gold Slate: Increases chance of upgrade by 15%. (5 uses)
I assume those are what go in the three mysterious little slots at the bottom of the refining window.
  • Hunter Scroll: Increases rare item drop-rate by 1.5x. (24 hours)
  • Mining King Hand: Decreases mining time to 1/2. (24 hours)
  • Material Pack: Contains the number of materials needed to make several of a certain item.
  • Portable Return Scroll Pack: Contains return scrolls to certain maps that must be reached on foot. For instance, Sand Beach or Luminous Stone 2.
  • Trade Sign: Add 5 slots to your shop.
  • HP/SP Stone Increase: Doubles the amount of stones you can carry at once.
  • Attack Power Sign: Increase your Attack and Magical Attack power by 1.5x. There is also a Defense version.
  • Magical Potion: A pack of 20 HP or SP potions that heal 10,000 each.
  • Goddess of Blessing: I'm not sure but I think it makes it so you don't aggro any monsters and you don't lose exp when you die.
  • Skill & Stat Reset: You can reset your stats and skill points.
  • Clear License: Delete one license off of a weapon.
I didn't post the ones we had in the beta shop such as HP/SP Extender and Backpack increase.

I like the sound of those. Which is basically like, more than half of the list. I wonder if they're going to be expensive. I have no money to buy them even anyway since I don't work, so I'm just hoping that people would sell them in affordable silvers (but it's probably going to be out of my price range anyway Dx).

And lol, pots that heal 10k, I wonder what level we must be to make full use of those!

AngellicDiety 09-30-2007 11:06 AM

I can see the Red Slate being a popular buy but very expensive. I know I'd buy the Red Slate if I knew this wasn't only a game...

a.L 09-30-2007 11:16 AM

Oh boy.. this is going to be like Spros in FlyFF all over again.

I reckon gold slate will be the most used one.. if its more likely to work who cares if it fails like.

a.L 09-30-2007 12:02 PM

Cash whores will be GODS.

I highly doubt it. 15% chance is not worth it compared to buying a lvl 50 item for 60s again because it broke....

Yosei 09-30-2007 04:42 PM

That sounds nice :O I'd like the skill point reset thing lol. Sounds nice for experimenting.

PwnageCleric 09-30-2007 05:07 PM

Omfg only some boosts ?
I'd like some sexy costumes -.-

Loveless 09-30-2007 07:07 PM

I like the idea of the stat/skill reset. It's too bad you have to buy it... would've been nice if they implemented a quest (probably a hard one) to do a reset every however many levels.

I also checked the Bright Kingdom site. And 500 yen equals 5000 salt which roughly converts to 5 dollars = 5000 points. Don't know if it'll be the same here... but that's a rough idea for everyone else.

We will get all of the nifty costumes the GMs wear later when the games officially out.

Wtf?

Too bat like.

Yosei 10-01-2007 01:18 AM

Reminds me... I was going to shoop a pic of my character with rockets on her back.

a.L 10-01-2007 02:02 AM

LOL rockets.

I want like angel wings or something. D:

Loveless 10-01-2007 02:49 AM

No, those aren't the ones... they had pink and blue ones during an event I think. It was the feathery kind. Can't find screenies though... =/

Yami 10-01-2007 10:59 AM

I want a cool costume =)

Probs won't be able to buy it, but that's another story...

I do hope the costumes we can purchase later on will be forever, and not for a set amount of days like with Maple Story.

Yosei 10-01-2007 04:23 PM

Unfortunately, so far, its the same in this game. The costumes last about a week.

Valentines 10-01-2007 04:31 PM

I want an event costume.

They last forever I think. :x

Loveless 10-02-2007 08:55 AM

Actually it seems somewhat like Gunbound at least in the other version of Fiesta. The least amount you spend will get you about 30 days... but if you pay more it'll last longer.

If the costumes lasted forever... then they wouldn't make any money... o.O Everyone will spend that 5 bucks for costumes (with stats, etc) and be done with it.

Yami 10-02-2007 09:50 AM

Then they will be receiving nothing from me =)

If I buy something I want it to last forever. Except food, that's usually gone within a day XD

KY_Jelly 10-02-2007 10:53 PM

ooh.

i wonder if FF mods would have a problem with me posting a paypal glitch walkthrough. Free cash items for everyone!

That was after they moved to Ijji. When it was just pure softnyx run it was permanent. I have a pemanent phoenix in that game. Again, it was an american who decided on a way to rip off their customers.

You know how much bans were given to people that abused paypal for cashshop items and not paying the rl money in Trickster Online? It's somewhat similar to this "glitch" of yours. This would only turn into that if the GMs detect it., so hf with people complaining about their characters getting banned.

asera 10-03-2007 02:42 AM

tbh i can't wait for the cash shop to come out for multiple reasons

1. money for the company ='s faster development and more stuff coming out faster for us.
2. this would eventually lead to better events and a larger server for the game so manbe more KQ going on instead of the amount now.
3. New maps = awsomeness more places to lvl etc
4. revamped graphics hopefully at least i wish the environment looks better ( meh i guess comparing this to wow isnt that good of an idea lol)
5. more KQ's better rewards and different missions awsome

bad stuff
1. ppl with money to spend could control the market...if there was a set market lol
2. abuse of this would lead to over-priced crap which means inflation and oh boy sucks for everyone else playing this game.

to be honest i feel bad for the ppl who cant use the cash shop cause they are left behind on stuff thats why i try to not abuse it :P (unless they deserve it like some ppl in goonzu -_-)

i guess we'll have to wait and see what happens lol oh well

Phantom Badger 10-18-2007 06:54 AM

Dang i doubt my parents would let me spend money on a game

Lyoven 10-18-2007 07:11 AM

people with little/no cash to buy these items will never be able to compete with oters.
guildwars will be won by the guild whos members spent more to get their items high upgraded/has more members using those +50% attack/defence thingies
instead of hearing shouts like "XY guild rescuting lv55+ people" we will hear "xx guild rescuting people with over xx cashshop-points to use" :D
im not funny, i know. but these items seem to make one a way too much stronger then others, who doesnt use them

MagesRequiem 10-19-2007 01:37 AM

Oh God... no! NO! NO!!! Its FlyFF all over again! Eff this. Once the Fiesta Store opens i'm quiting. I'm not going to be outdone by stupid bastards with too much money. Or spoiled rich kids. Besides, the entire game will be ruined once people begin purchasing stuff giving them unfair advantages over the rest of us who can't afford to spend on something like a game. I mean honestly, if you're going to make a game free to play then make it free to play! Not free to play and then get raped by everyone because you're too poor to afford our overpriced pieces of shit! /end rant

And I wonder how many companies are out there willing to making a game that is completely free with so many people employed working on the game? The only completely free game I can think of from the top of my head is Runescape - and look at the quality of the game.

Cash shop sucks when you can't buy stuff from it, but hey, you can't expect a company to make it completely free. Where are they going to get all the money from then? They have to pay the people who's working for them. I agree that FlyFF was a bit ruined with the cash shop items, but if Fiesta doesn't treat cash shop items like God, then it's not going to be that bad.

Free to play games with cash shop > p2p games. At least I still get to play the game. You will have to constantly fork money out for p2p games, whereas in a f2p game, you have the option to not spend money.

Of course, it's a bit unfair for those who can't buy them, but since when is the world fair? Dx

Hessah 10-19-2007 01:54 AM

yeah i guess it really depends on how they structure the cash shop.. i think FLyff went wild when the cost of Sprotects went bezzerk... it was 700k penya when i had 500k.. then by the time i had 700k it wasl ike 1.5mil or something.. i quit since then but i was told that it just went up and up and up...

and same thing could very possibility happen with Fiesta...

wonder wat would happen if you're not allow to vend cash shop items... so the benefits doesnt be passed as gold/silver/coppers coz otherwise the money side of the economy is stuffed keke...

and for once.. i'm not objecting to cash shop coz i can afford it XD (and to bribe blah on my side... i'll buy you something too yeah yeah?)

According to Outspark, the cash shop items won't impact the game much.

Yet, this is coming from a company that states the following:

I can understand them wanting to make money. Thats no big deal. But a lot of them overprice their crap and not to mention some of the items have timers. If you're going to sell items to increase storage space and what not their should be no timer. I don't want to have to constantly buy something like that just for a little extra space. Besides, hundreds upon hundreds of people will be paying for their crap so whats the point in making a timer on certain items? To exploit us and take as much of our money away as possible? Yeah, I ain't buying into it.

Real life is unfair but why should our virtual lives be the same? Aren't we supposed to escape reality when playing these games or surfing the web? All they're doing is dragging us back into reality so they can earn as much money as possible from spoiled little brats.

Hessah 10-19-2007 02:21 AM

That's life, how about you get paid $2000 once as your salary, and coz there's no timer on it, that's all u'll get.

People are continuously working for our game, and so i guess it's only fair that they would want to put a timer on. Or often, games give you a choice to pay more for an indefinite item, or less for a period of time. Who knows, maybe you dont need that extra inventory space for more than a month, so you can get a discount for it.

Unfortunately your fantasy is costing other people's reality. There's no complete escape.

Not quite. There's probably over a thousand people playing on this game and even more people are continuously joining. And you gotta think, if a thousand people spend $5 on the game. Thats $5000. But thats only a thousand people and only about $5. More people than that are bound to spend plenty of money on multiple items. I'm pretty sure you don't need people spend $20 every month for some items that are very useful to those of us who stockpile materials and what not. See, thats where they get ya. They say its "free to play". But what happens when you need an item that has a timer on it? You have to pay again and again and again. So basically they've got a secret little way of turning "free to play" into "play to play".
